Make sure you're measure correct channel. You should see CH1 (not CH0) near blue LOGMAG text with value at the top of screen.

Bob, If you are using the original firmware that came on your nanoVNA then the symptoms haven't been reported by other members and you may have a hardware problem. If you have upgraded your firmware

Make sure you're selected channel CH0 for SWR. It cannot measure SWR on channel CH1
