The date and location have changed, but the Greenwood Hamfest is back! Saturday January 11th, 2025 at the St. Mark United?Methodist Church?Rivers Street Campus, 1633 Rivers Street, Greenwood, SC. Doors open to the public at 9 AM and vendors at 8 AM. Sorry, no tailgating?allowed. Plans are to be active on the GARS repeater at 147.165 MHz, PL tone of 107.2 Hz, for talk-in questions.

Vendors include The Wireman and Quicksilver Radio ( ? and?? ). Smokey Gray's BBQ will be on site to supply breakfast and lunch vittles. Presentations include High Frequency Terrain Analysis (HFTA) by Kevan N4XL at 10 AM and Antenna Modeling by Dave AG4DR at 11:30 AM. A Try Before You Buy table will be set up to test your goodies.?

License testing is performed every?two months in Greenwood, so unlike in previous years VE testing will not be available at GARSfest. More information on our testing schedule is available from knason00@....
