Self spotting 5
NA1WJ : Can you self spot on the DXcluster? I've only seen one spot in three days. This will help those for whom the ionosphere is not cooperating. TNX and 73, Bill K6KN

SCOTTISH SCOUT PARTICIPATION IN WSJ 4
I am Malcolm, GM3TAL, a member of the Kingdom Amateur Radio Society which is based at the Scout Adventures campsite, Fordell Firs in IO86 square. Our club will be on HF bands and Internet modes during the Jamboree. We also plan to be on the air "after hours". We should have a special call for the event which I shall post here when we have received confirmation from our licencing authority. All our radio club members are part of the local Scout Active Support Team and several of us have other leadership roles in Scouting. We are all looking forward to making contact with the NA1WJ station and facilitating greetings messages between our young people. 73 from GM Malcolm

NA1WJ at Echolink 5
Dear Brothers in Radio Scouting, My name is Ronan A Reginatto PY2RAR, from the Brazilian National Radio Scouting Team. For a long time we are preparing our Scout Hams to contact the World Scout Jamboree and the official station NA1WJ. As the propagation is not so good, we incentivated them to prepare their Echolink stations to contact the camp. What happens is that there is noone answering the calls over the Conference JAMBO. There is no representative from NA1WJ, but we can see always more then 7 ou 8 Brazilian stations waiting. Could you please ask someone to help us and to attend the Echolink conference? Please? If you could to suggest any other way to contact you throught Echolink, please, let us know. Thanks in advance. Greetings from Brazil. Ronan PY2RAR Scouts of Brazil

Activity 7
Anyone here been able to have a QSO with the folks at the Jamboree on HF? I have checked the published frequencies, numerous times today, to no avail. I finally got connected to *JAMBO* on echolink, that was a task in itself.

Echolink issues with *JAMBO* 3
We are aware there's an ongoing issue with *JAMBO*. Please feel free to connect directly to the repeater nodes for the time being. NA1WJ-R is the 2m VHF repeater and WV8BSA-R is the 70cm UHF repeater. We're live streaming the tent on the K2BSA Facebook page, and of course a lot of images and notes going out on Twitter. Our log which is published daily is on the https://log.na1wj.net site. 73 de NE4RD

ZELLO? 4
I'm not a great fan of ZELLO but one of our Scouters is asking whether there is an official ZELLO name for WSJ - i.e. one that is authorised and closed to Scouts only?? We are still aiming to make HF QSOs using the call GB0FFS, (Fordell Firs Scouts), as well as Echolink and D-Star, but the ZELLO question came up at our club meeting last evening and I'd appreciate a reply from the WSJ team. Thanks. 73 Malcolm GM3TAL

Ang: [na1wj] QSOs with World Scout Jamboree NA1WJ 4
Thanks! As I'm a beginner in ham radio, I had to get help from a radio club. The obvious question they asked me was how the camp planned for radio communication to others. They need time to prepare, test and plan for this, and obviously they can't cover all amateur bands. So this is why I'm asking for details and the plans WSJ have. Right now the camp I'm responsible for most likely will cancel this activity due to there's too many factors that are unknown and we simply do not have the resources to cover everything. Echolink Check In Nightly Net 8
I'm not a big user of echolink but I"m trying to encourage my younger son to check in to the net a few times. Which echolink node should he use? He'll be using another hams RF link to echolink, so he wouldn't just be able to search for it. I figure it is either 9877 or 832996 Thanks & 73 de Joseph M. Durnal NE3R
