QSOs with World Scout Jamboree NA1WJ
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýPer:Probably the best advice for individual hams and Scout groups that wish to talk to the Scouts via Amateur Radio Station at the upcoming World Scout Jamboree is just to look on the DX Cluster for DX spots reporting NA1WJ.? Since propagation and thus the actual bands we could use will vary, that¡¯s the best way to find us. I¡¯ll try to post some DX spots showing the frequency of NA1WJ once we¡¯re in full operation.? The NA1WJ station begins to be built this week, so there might be some preliminary test transmissions, but operations really start up next week when the Scouts arrive?on July 21.We¡¯ll then try to be active around the clock?until August 1.? During the daytime hours in the USA, we¡¯ll be looking for stations to actually have meaningful conversations with the Scouts, and not simply exchange signal reports. ?At night, more of a DXpedition type operation might develop.? Does that help answer your question? 73 Gary Wilson, K2GW Asst Demo Station Lead NA1WJ |
