If you put in a hinged base and have the room they can be raised with a tractor attached to the guy line to pull it up. I¡¯m working on a project where I¡¯ll raise mine from a very short secondary tower guyed opposite of the tower guy line and with a winch to pull up the main tower. Finding people up here to do this work is very hard but a neighbor with a tractor may just be the ticket. It¡¯s no fun going up and down a tower so laying it on the ground is a good way to go or install a tower Hazor or Raizor. Radio Amateurs do have the highest death rate involving towers and I¡¯d suggest if people do volunteer to go up your tower your property insurance will cover any accident unless you use a certified company to do the work.
