Hi Jim,
Thanks for the reply. Hope you had a nice vacation.
The traceback capture I attached occurred right after initial installation of Python and Quisk, i.e. when I tried to start Quisk for the first time after install on the Windows machine.
Nothing had been configured yet because Quisk won't even start running, so it was neither remote or control head. Quisk will not run at all.
Since my first post, I acquired a new laptop with Windows 10 Pro. I installed Python and then Quisk. I made sure everything was as per the installation instructions, and also that all versions matched the versions that installed on the Desktop PC.
On the laptop, Quisk starts up, and I can configure a Radio type Hermes for the HL2, but it does not find it, and nothing works. If I exit Quisk and restart it, the Radio I had just configured is gone - it does not save it.
I have an older version of Quisk on a RPi, and it starts up just fine and runs the HL-2 fine over Wi-Fi, so I know there is no problem with the radio. I can also operate the radio fine from several other software packages with no issues from both the Desktop PC and the laptop.
So, my problems just seem to be multiplying. I have done this over and over again several times with the same results - feeling like the definition of insanity.
At this point I don't have a clue. I must be doing something wrong, but I have done this many times in the past without incident, so I'm stumped.
BTW, the drop down selection list for configuring the Radio type does not have a "HermesLite2" option as you stated - only "HERMES".
Any ideas are welcome. Going on a trip soon, so may just need to drop this for later.
Tom
