HiQSDR ports and IP addressing
Hello Jim et all, I have a slight issue getting the HiQSDR to work when I have a cold start up. The Quisk SW will assign it an address, which is not the default 192.168.2.196, but 192.168.4.196. This

Re: How to widen ssb transmission bandwidth
Jim, Thank you for the explanation. ?I know its not a priority and my never happen but having the transmitter bandwidth adjustable at least out to 3k with the low end at 50 hz would be awesome. ?The

Re: Quisk Version 4.2.13 December 2022
Hello Jim, Since installing quisk-4.2.13 I have (over the internet) participated in a CW contest with many short duration contacts, followed by an SSB QSO in which I transmitted an over whose length

Re: Successful new install on raspberry pi but fails to calibrate
Thanks for that. I will scope around and look for noise, but I cannot hook up a stereo headphone since the line2 USB does not have outputs.? I can't use anything for output as this is in a sealed

Re: Successful new install on raspberry pi but fails to calibrate
To determine if the spectral hump in the center is noise, switch Quisk's mode to DGT-IQ, tune to the center where the spectral hump is and give it a listen on stereo headphones. What you hear is

I got that, but the Behringer does not have USB output! Nigel Johnson, MSc., MIEEE, MCSE VE3ID/G4AJQ/VA3MCU Amateur Radio, the origin of the open-source concept! Skype: TILBURY2591

Re: How to widen ssb transmission bandwidth
Hello Ryan, The filtering is built into the speech processing. There are two stages and it all happens at 8 ksps to save processor time. So I can't increase to 4000 Hz bandwidth anyway. Maybe a

Re: Successful new install on raspberry pi but fails to calibrate
Hello Nigel, I mean listening to the Behrenger's digital USB output, via an audio app of some sort on your computer, rather than via Quisk. Good luck! -- Ben, AC2YD --

Re: Successful new install on raspberry pi but fails to calibrate
The line2 by Behringer does not have outputs, just inputs. https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/behringer-line-2-usb-audio-interface-cable/13621904 Unfortunately, having tested with the outboard

Re: Successful new install on raspberry pi but fails to calibrate
Hello Nigel, I'm as mystified as you are, but I would be surprised if a generic driver would do that sort of pre-emphasis processing (I could be wrong). Have you tried simply listening to the audio

Jim, Thank you for the response. ?That is unfortunate as having the nr2 option in quisk is what brought me back to it. ?Nr2 is work perfect btw compared side by side with thetis. ?There is no

Hello Jim, Everything seems to be working well. Thanks for getting HiQSDR running, I will have to get it out of the cupboard and run it again to test. I have had a QSO on SSB and CW using my HL2 and

Re: How to widen ssb transmission bandwidth
Hello Ryan, There is no option to adjust Tx bandwidth. Using an external equalizer to limit high frequencies will not work. The Quisk speech processing will widen the bandwidth even if highs are not

Quisk Version 4.2.13 December 2022
Python 2 was obsolete as of January 1, 2020. And the new code by Ben, AC2YD, needs Python 3. It is troublesome to write code that runs on both Python 2 and Python 3.? So it is time to stop supporting

Hello Don, Well I still can't do it but at least I know what it looks like when it is going. I'll try some other things, maybe locking my firewall down to TCP on that port has something to do with it
