Re: quisk setup for old Softrock RxTx 6.3 - no transmit audio, problem is in software - Quisk or audio setup. (STILL not working right!)
I'm transmitting into a load (the softrock output is about 2mw), and using the dongle antenna, a few feet away.? I could set up a separate attenuator, but I've found that sufficient for working on my

(Sigh!) Back to the drawing board.? Yes, I'm getting signal out - wide-band noise only.
I'm using a RTL dongle as a poor man's spectrometer on the output of the softrock (on 28).? The signal is

Re: quisk setup for old Softrock RxTx 6.3 - no transmit audio, problem is in software - Quisk or audio setup.
Glad you solved it.
I gave up using QSD/QSE? SDR's as I never found sound cards to be satisfactory, adjusting amplitude and phase never seemed to have any effect.
With DDC/DUC SDR's a simple USB

Crazy thing.? Since my transmit audio in won't be over 2.6K or so (JT65/FT8/PSK31/voice/etc.), I'd had the mike audio in set to 8K (one of two settings).? I thought I read somewhere that

Thanks!? That might help.
I'm wondering if there is a module or driver that is interfering - something that needs to be blacklisted.? I know for a while it was intermittent - the transmit levels

Re: quisk setup for old Softrock RxTx 6.3 - no transmit audio, problem is in software - Quisk or audio setup.
Hello,
I will add a feature to the next Quisk release to show the audio level for each connected sound card. It will be on the Config/Status screen. That should help with debugging.

Re: quisk setup for old Softrock RxTx 6.3 - no transmit audio, problem is in software - Quisk or audio setup.
The current settings file is ~/quisk_settings.json
On a new computer I usually remove ~/.quisk_conf.py and use the quisk Config tab to set up a new radio.
It's a long time since I've used the SR v6.3

Nothing that shouldn't be.? I've muted some of the features of the built-in audio only.? The two USB sound cards - they both are fine as far as the settings (checked with both alsamixer and QasHctl

Have you checked with alsamixer to make sure nothing is muted?

Re: quisk setup for old Softrock RxTx 6.3 - no transmit audio, problem is in software - Quisk or audio setup.
I tried different combinations - none would put out an audio signal that could be detected (if it was there, it was below the sensitivity of my scope - which is more or less usual for decent moderate

I have experienced similar problems with Linux Mint 19.2 (Ubuntu 18.04 based).
Have you selected the right pulseaudio devices in your sound settings?
