Only 2 29er signed up for the zones at DBSC so far, entry closes on Sunday, would be good if we had a few more - 8 boats at the academy the weekend before!

Orri and Stuart will be there.

See they're saying camping limited and to pre book with Gav by emailing gavandbess@...?.? You've to give him no,of folk and size of tent. B.

Hi,?
I messaged the club to ask if we needed to book in advance and this is the reply, I will forward on any email if there is details on hookup.?
Hi Susannah,
Yes camping is available.? No booking needed.? I'm not sure if there is an electric hookup, hopefully, our Rear Commodore Shore, John, cc'ed, will comment.
Gate and changing room code is 2738.
Image of camping location attached (The marquee will not be there, it looks the google satellite went over during the beer festival :)

Thanks Susannah, I might end up camping on Friday of academy as well so great to have codes. Suzie campaigning hard.
The request to prebook has gone up as additional info on the main event page so looks like slight miscommunications within the club?? Safer to email Gav I reckon.?

Academy normally rigged but not changed for 9:30 both days, winds up just before 5 both days normally.?
Further info should be coming out next week with format for weekend etc.? Dan Harris is other coach so that's great.
Andy and the others at DSBC are going to be organising some social/food options for the Saturday night.? We just need to decide when wine o'clock is?? ?
|
Is the camping for the zones, the academy or both?? ?Becci

Camping booking just for zones. Assume academy we can just pitch up and camp?? I'll double check with Gav and let folk know, I'll also check if that gate code will work for previous weekend.
|
Academy only... ?
Camping, just pitch up, no booking required.? We can have access to the downstairs galley.? Code for the door is the same.? There is a function on on Saturday evening, we will have access to the members area.? There is a “super Saturday “ on on Saturday morning for the junior members and a club race/Bart’s bash on Sunday.?
We, DBSC 29er parents, will organise some breakfast both mornings, if you can let us know your preferences and quantities. I’m told bacon rolls are not for athletes. We will also organise some soup and pasta type meal for lunch. Again, let us know your preference and quantities. I’m not guaranteeing you will get your preference, We’ll go on the majority vote or two.? I’m going to let you all organise your dinner plans as it’s getting too complicated for me to comprehend just now.?

Thanks Andy, that clarifies things. Could some pasta just have a plain cheese sauce as Eoghan won't eat anything with visible veg in it! Will ask the boys what they want to do about camping.? For the zones, we can get them there both days but have our closing regatta the same weekend so am hoping someone could keep an eye on them each day... Cheers, Becci

Thanks Andy for organising breakfast and lunch, is this for parents too or just children?
We will have 2 boys and 4 adults coming. 1 adult is vegetarian and 1 boy and 2 adults don’t eat pork, bacon or meat and milk together. (Can be vegetarian if that’s easier).
Many thanks for organising.?
Who do I get in touch with about dinner food?
Thanks?
Susannah?

Hi Susannah
Should have enough food for sailors and families at breakfast and lunch. Note the dietary requirements.
Kind regards Kathryn

Andy, As I think you know, there are 3 420’s turning up at Dalgety Bay for training this coming weekend. ?Please could we be included in your food plans. ?James and I are staying in the van - we can do our own breakfast but if James and his crew could be included in your lunch plans that would be great.
Thanks,

Sounds great Andy well organised, I am sure you will have a brilliant weekend.
?
It may be likely you end up using a few RYAS ribs during the weekend if you can help the coaches and club with launch and recovery
of these that would be greatly appreciated.
?
Thanks
