Derwent 29ering weekend
开云体育Dave Coady and Dave
Shilling at Derwent have offered to organise an informal 29er
long weekend from the 6th to 9th August.? They've got 4 local
boats taking part and would love to see some other 29ers coming
along. It's a great chance
for any new boats to get lots of time on the water at a safe
beginners location.? The plan is that various parents will take
turns at manning ribs and doing informal coaching.? The couple
of local coaches are away unfortunately. The more experienced boats just need to get lots of time on the water and should all have had enough coaching to let them self coach as a group. Ideally over the weekend some of the experienced sailors would jump in a 29er with the rookies and give them a bit of one to one time to get them up the learning curve a lot faster. You can do any days out of the Thursday to Sunday.? Camping available from Thursday night.? Toilets are open but not changing rooms.? There's a gas BBQ outside that can be used.?? Need to use own cooking facilities apart from that. There will be a charge
for the rib hire and probably some camping fee for the club but
it shouldn't be expensive. If interested please
ping back a reply by say Sunday night so they can get a plan
together. Bear |

Looks a good opportunity but unfortunately Eoghan can't get 2 days of work together. Bit too short notice for him to arrange. He'd be up for anything at Tay or Dalgetty that he can get to for a day.? On Fri, 31 Jul 2020, 22:31 Bear, <david@...> wrote:
