Anyone else either want to bring boat along and sail or if single this weekend want to come along and swap around between rib and 29er.? Can make more of a day of it if they're getting a rest in the rib.

Europeans cancelled

开云体育

Hi all,

Just heard that Medemblik have withdrawn their offer to host the 29er Europeans in 2020 so don't book accommodation etc.

We don't know why and the international class is looking to hold somewhere else but it's going to be a while before that gets sorted I'm afraid.

There should be an email coming out from the UK class shortly letting folk know, in the meantime don't put anything up on social media etc about it.?

Cheers

Bear

Hi all,

Just in case anyone out there has some a decent main that might be spare or could be sold on to help fund an upgrade - we are currently without a mainsail (and reluctant for obvious reasons to invest in a brand new one just yet)

?

You could argue, as I did, that outriggers might be a more appropriate investment but apparently that’s missing the point

Optimistically yours

Re: Sails

It's a good idea Richard but we just don't have the money to get it in the first place. If anyone else can we'd definitely take some of the stuff - main sail, perhaps the trolley...

Re: Academy dinner

For those arriving on Friday David Ibbotson should be there about 7:30 and he's going to firing up a BBQ so if you suffer from FOMO maybe put in a pack or two of sausages for a wee Scooby snack to go with your glass of wine.

I'll also bung in my firepit if got space in car so if anyone's got a few logs they can chuck in with them that would be great.? We might need a bit of warmth on Saturday night, strong 12 knots!

Re: Academy dinner

I'm easily confused ?. That makes sense. We're going to stick a tent in but will see how the boys feel. Definitely staying for food in the evening and will take up the offer of lunch for the boys in both days. If they do camp we'll have breakfast on Sunday.
See you at the weekend,

Hi Andy,?
that sounds a great idea. Eoghan, Seb and I will do that. I am getting a bit confused about what discussions around food are for this weekend and which are for the Zones or maybe it has all been for this weekend! There was one about breakfasts and camping - was that the academy or the zones or both??

Hi all
After much discussion we have decided it would be good to have some evening food before everyone rushes away.
I propose that we dig out the club bbq and those who wish bring their own meat to cook. We could always nip up to ASDA to save keeping food fresh during the day. I will arrange baked potatoes to go with it.
