Re: Largs - VSRs need a lift down.
Ian and I could probably take the two ribs down one evening next
week, would work if we were both there should any manhandling be
required at either end

Ian
I can help but it would have to be as a separate trip
ahead of the?GP as I’ll be towing the girls’ boat on
Thursday/Friday am and again on the Monday (plus airport
pickup/dropoff for Irish boys).
Due to current?back trouble it would be helpful if
there was someone around to help if the trailer needs
moved by hand even a wee bit at either end. So ideal if
I went at same time as other boat was going.
When do the VSRs need to be returned afterwards?

Still not sure what our movements are that weekend or
whether we're doing the academy, will have a chat with

I'm not down until Sunday and they're now putting

boats there for Friday first thing.? Now got class
boat coming down from Tay as well for the Irish
boys.? Robb
The trailers are plated at 1,500kg and so your car
needs to be able to tow a braked trailer of that
weight.? My Focus can't but Passat can to give you
an idea.? The actual weight is well under 1,000kg
Matt said so not really that heavy but DVLA go by
plated weight of trailer.
Can a couple of folk put their hands up for this
one please.? I know Robbie's taking down rib and
29er but copied him in just in case he's at Largs
for any reason before then.

Re: Largs - VSRs need a lift down.
Ian/Susan, that's great hopefully.? Do you want to see if there's
a time that would suit both of you and that means Susan's got a
help for manhandling trailer?? Although Duncan should be around at
Falkirk end hopefully and Largs has tons of space so should just
be question of winding up jockey wheel and driving off but I can
definitely see that two folk seems a bit safer in case of
problems.
You'll need to liaise with Duncan to get boats unlocked at
Sailingfast.? Also with Matt to ensure that they can then get
locked back up at Largs.
Any problems give me a shout.
Cheers

Although you don't know it yet you'll have class boat from tay on it for Irish boys. I'd thought you could have taken Danny's and leave Colin with spare towbar but that option has now gone west.
B.?
My car can't take the VSR's but if there's a double stack trailer to borrow I could take two 29ers so someone with a bigger car can take a VSR

Following our conversations today I have just signed Alastair and
Sam up for the nationals - we are the first boat to enter!!!
Additionally I have just made a reservation for our campervan on
site - There are now only 2 pitches left on site with electrical
hookup so if anyone else is thinking of staying on site I would
suggest booking asap.? Camping pitches are booked directly with
Plas Heli through their website.? Non serviced camping pitches are
still available down at the end but I guess these may fill up
quickly as well, especially once all the serviced pitches are
gone.

Sorry - Evie and Catriona are powerboating at Dalgety all weekend to get their level 2
I know Eoghan/Ben and danny/Tom aren't around this weekend but is anyone else wanting to sail at the Tay. Forecast for Saturday is pretty good. Suzie is ideally wanting to play hockey in the morning but could be down to club for 12:30.? Have
asked Poppy, topper sailor from Melrose, if she fancies getting out but not heard?back.
