I am trying to calculate a small transmitting loop from LMR400 using the Pacific 66 calculator site.
?
Does anyone know the actual diameter of the LMR400 shield once the black insulator is removed? ?The actual diameter size is required form accurate calculation.

Hi,
From here:

Outer Conductor Aluminum Tape 0.291 (7.39)
Overall Braid Tinned Copper 0.320 (8.13)

From here:

First Shield Aluminum Tape 0.29 in [7.37 mm]
Second Shield Tinned Copper Braid 0.32 in [8.13 mm]

So, I'd assume 8.13mm for the calculation.

Regards,
Simon

Thank you!

On line calculators are a guide. You don't need that accuracy for inputing.
