Locked Another Chinese Loop

 

Wondered if anyone has tried one of these, supposed to be lz1aq design.?

No, had not heard of this one before. Where did you see it mentioned being LZ1AQ design? I didn't see it in the ad at that link, but could have missed it.

There is a link to Chavdar's website in the description. The Aliexpress link quoted is for a mobile version of their site and gives some very large images on a PC screen.

Try on a PC.

From the description on the desktop version of the page:
"The amplification board in the flying fish version small loop antenna adopts the low-noise amplification of the improved version lz1aq"

Switching between modes (shielded/unshielded/Moebius) looks interesting.

Dirt cheap if is if Chavdar¡¯s design.. but is it?? Transformers etc..

Though one should support Chavdar by buying his stuff. ( if want the real deal, cat5e, dipole/ loop remote switched etc..)

Not worth building for that monies homebrew though..

Note also quotes Martin¡¯s web pages, so maybe just quotes good pages hopefully you think good?? Con?? Curious though..

Interestingly, this antenna is made by the "HFDY" folks, who also manufacture the best (IMHO) of the Malahit DSP-1 clones, aka "Malahit SDR V3". I have this model of portable SDR and think it performs excellently. It's the same receiver as reviewed on the SWLing Post by Dan Robinson:?

So... based on the quality of the HFDY Malahit SDR V3, I'm inclined to think their loop antenna is a reasonably serious performer.

Thanks for this info. I tried to earlier buy one from aliexpress, without luck. But just now see eBay has them under "HFDY loop antenna" and just ordered one, so eventually hope to report on it.

I have had no end of trouble with my credit union accepting my card to Aliexpress.? No problem with most other Chinese vendors.? I no longer even? attempt to use Aliexpress.
