Locked Re: Loops for only 10-500 KHz?
I used for a few years a shielded loop built with 3/4" CATV cable, using the PIN connectors for this type of cable and an 8 port tap enclosure as part of the antenna, to hold a generic pot core

Locked A list for test equipment design and construction
This might interest some on this list - it's a forum to discuss test equipment design and construction. There's quite a thread on Q-meters, which might interest some.

If you want to read some interesting information about care and feeding of multiple SDR receivers and building a complex AM BCB filter, I recommend the RF Distribution page on the sdrutah.org web

Thanks, Steve, for the source of the 2SC5551 BJTs. I would prefer building with something that will remain actively sourced for a while. After all, how long has the 2N2222 been around, not to mention

I mentioned this before but apparently some folks didn't read the message. https://kitsandparts.com/store2.php?? shows over 300 of the 2SC5551 in stock. Note you have to click "Place Order" to find

Do you really mean 10Hz, or actually mean 10kHz ? I regularly hear stuff down to 10kHz on my Tarsk active whip, and sometimes even on an LZ1AQ broadband loop. But no chance of going much lower in

Locked Re: Loops for only 10-500 KHz?
I don't know of any broadband loop amps that only receive 10-500 kHz. One could probably build a tunable loop over that range. Folks normally use an LF low pass filter (LPF) if overloading of the

Locked Loops for only 10-500 KHz?
I'm wondering about active, receive-only outdoor loops for 10-500 Khz... Seems to me that one way to keep powerful medium-wave (AM) broadcast from causing IM in a loop antenna amp or receiver is to

You can often tame a high Ft transistor by putting a small (say 10 pF) capacitor directly from the emitter to the collector. Another trick is to put a small resistor in series with the collector.

All this does not bode well for the 2SC5111 continued existence. It's well on its way of the 2N5109. I will search for an equivalent. Dave - W?LEV wrote: -- *Dave - W?LEV* *Just Let Darwin Work*
