I agree, but I fugure that is why they invented electrical tape... or maybe use duct tape... or whatever works. Photographers gaffers tape is a good choice because it comes off without leaving

Actually Patrick, Just shorting together the bottom points of the tube where it meets the base, would cause it to be a shorted turn, which would then totally disable the antenna, whether or not there
