So I got an alert from Microsoft that they are Stopping the support for all Windows 10 and prior.
As I have a few computers I? am now going to go full Linux and install different Flavors of Ubuntu.
On my main I went with Cinnamon Ubuntu. I have been leaning this way for a few years but just now decided.
So hear comes the learning of Linux and Cinnamon.
?
But for here I am getting all my win software switched over.
I am having troubles with getting FLdigi to work properly.
I don't know what USB Port to use to connect to my radio.
I see the Silicon Labs A & B.
I have another on for an Internet Labs.
I have clicked on both but nothing works.
Radio i have is the Icom IC-7100.
?
Thanks up front for any help.

To access the serial port? you must be a member of the dialout group.

dave@tk7:~$ groups
dave adm dialout fax cdrom floppy tape sudo audio dip video plugdev lpadmin netdev scanner sambashare

You can assign yourself to the dialout group using the Cinnamon user interface, or from a command line terminal on Ubuntu:

Add yourself to the dialout group

??? Open Terminal.
??? Enter the following command, replacing <username> with the name of your account. sudo usermod -a -G dialout <username>
??? Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Look for something like this:
?
/dev/serial/by-id/usb-Silicon_Labs_CP2102_USB_to_UART_Bridge_Controller_IC-7100_22001383_A-if00-port0
?
Baud 19200 (Set IC-7100 to match in Set > Connections > CI-V)
