Hi.

Hope you are suitably "refreshed" after your vacation etc.

Thanks for the new alpha to test.

Configured and built OK, still (at present) on LMDE5.

This too has the sticky "extra command" button trouble, that can be fixed as you described before by:-

Re:-
In the source file dialogs.cxx

Inline image

comment out line 1849 by placing '//' at the beginning of the line. ?Report results.

That seems to have fixed the issue.

(The same fix works with .64, but was found on line 2006 in diaogs.cxx in src/support/
Viewed / Edited in Geany 1.37.1)

However, it also still has issues with the Kenwood TS870s RX Filter settings.
Though it no longer shows N/A as a choice of filter settings, and it "Sets" the radio to what is requested (High Cut or Low Cut.) ? It then fails to show the now updated settings in force.

Also with the memories.
Again, it sets what is "Recalled" from the manager and sent to the Radio, but the on-screen dialogue reverts to what the radio was set to, before the recall!

All the above is with Polling OFF.

With Polling ON, it does (eventually) get updated to what is set.? But does still show the original frequency before the next post setting requested Poll data comes in.? (Same with the filter settings.)

No doubt the similar behaviour seen with .63 with the FT736 and Icom PCR1000 is related.

Neither of those respond to a Poll for their working Frequency, and in the case of the 736, anything else other than the 'S'meter level, or Squelch Open/Closed state!

All the best Dave.

Thanks for the code to trial.? Any other trials/tests, just ask.

Dave,

Please try changing that line to

waitResponse(progStatus.serial_timeout);
