Pre-built Pi 5 binaries
My recently purchased Pi-500 arrived yesterday and within an hour I had the OS and all necessary files for building fldigi etal installed.? The build took less than an hour for the entire suite, following?these guidelines:?. I posted the binary files at Index of /pi5-files
I would like to know if these execute correctly on Pi4/5 64 bit Raspbian OS.? Let me know if you try the posted binaries. 73, David W1HKJ |

With RPi-4b - 8gb memory and 250gb SSD, running current version of Bookworm:
Rig is IC-7300
==============================================
?
pi@pi8g:~ $ uname -a
Linux pi8g 6.12.25+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.25-1+rpt1 (2025-04-30) aarch64 GNU/Linux
?
==============================================
1. flrig crashes with a segmentation fault on load.
? ? It would not load from the menu, so tried from command line.
?
2. fldigi will not load from menu and when attempted from command line gives the following error:
? ?" bash: /usr/local/bin/fldigi:? cannot execute binary file:? Exec format error "
?
Please advise if you need additional info.
?
Best regards,
Ken

Thanks Ken.? Building on Pi is very easy, but I'm always asked about binary?files.? I'm guessing?a mismatch in some of the OS level shared libraries. David On Sun, May 11, 2025 at 8:09?PM kb1oiq via <kb1oiq=[email protected]> wrote: On 5/11/25 10:30AM, Dave, W1HKJ via wrote: |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHey Dave, Posting just the built ELF binaries with out the required dependencies won't run on people's 64bit Raspberry Pi OS.? The better route would be to build and release a complete .deb package with full dependency tracking.?? This isn't hard to do once you have the packaging file ready which is already done here:?? I'd be happy to take you through it if you're interested and I have a script already that does it all. --David KI6ZHD On 05/11/2025 07:30 AM, Dave, W1HKJ via
