FLrig FT-991A Memory Channels

Hey Folks,
?
I have just started using FLrig for my FT-991A. I am wondering if there is a way to change memory channels that are stored in the 991A from within FLrig. Thoughts?
?
Thanks,

I don't think so, that would take a program like CHIRP which doesn't yet support the 991A.

Thanks,

I use RT Systems ADMS-991A software with the RT-42 data cable.

I don't own a at FT-991 but I would expect the menu system to be similar to the FT-891. The FT-891 memories can be programmed through the FLrig's "send command" in the "config" menu. As? an example the following is an extract from the CAT manual of the FT-891. Clunky but has its uses.

Yes, you can set a number of commands ready to go in flrig. See my screen shot. Very handy. I do this on a 7300, but it works for most rigs that are supported by flrig.

Thanks for all the great replies. I would like to make clear that I do not want to program the 991A, I simply want FLrig to send a cat command to the 991A to either change the 'already programmed' memories that reside inside the 991A. Just like using the up/down controls on the mic or using the MCH dial - up or down.
?
I know nothing about cat commands or how to read write these things to/from the radio.
?
Win4Yaesu has this functionality, so I think it's safe to assume FLrig does too. I just can't find it.

Like in the email I sent with the screenshot of flrig, you need to get the 991A manual and find the list of commands and then enter those into flrig. Then it will do what you want. Flrig does not have all the rig's commands built into it.

It does not. Fortunately its easy to implement? and put into use as per Cliff 's example.

So, I got the Channel Up/Down working, but I have to place the 991 into Memory mode, by hand. I've looked through the CAT control commands and for the life of me, I cannot find the command to toggle between V/M mode. Does this command exist?
?
Thanks

There is a Windows Program called "Win4YaesuSuite" and with this program you can control V/M on the 991.
Which leads to my assumption that such command must exist.

The radio switches to Memory mode and the designated channel upon a write (MW).? You could set command buttons with memory writes by copying the results from a Memory Read (MR) to a command (button), changing the 'MR' response characters to a 'MW'.? It seems to work, but I'd have to be careful not to mangle up my memories.

The only thing I want to achieve is to change memory channels that are programmed in the radio. But sometimes, I am in VFO mode for whatever reason and if I want to get back to being able to change my channels, I have to press the V/M on the radio. I really wish I could figure out what the CAT code is for this purpose. As Peter stated above, the command/code must exist as Win4Yaesu software has this function.

Understood, James.? I'm saying that if you read what is already in the channel and put that into a Memory Write command (button) with flrig, the radio will switch to that memory location and switch from VFO to MCH, if it was in VFO.
?
Yes, it's rewriting the memory, but with the information that was already there.? Assigning that MW command to an flrig command "button" makes it a one-touch effort to go to the channel and switch to memory mode. You'd have to repeat the effort if you ever change memory channel settings, otherwise you'd be writing earlier settings into the memory when using the flrig user button.
?
Win4Yaesu must likewise do a? set of MR/MW commands.?? I don't see any other way to switch from VFO to memory mode.
