AT-1000ProII
4
I thought that I had some issues with my Tuner so I shipped it back to LDG for repair under warranty. What I thought was a non functioning Antenna #1 position was actually "pilot error". LDG of course could not find the problem that I had noted, but they changed the microprocessor and sent the unit back to me immediately. As I mentioned to them my ex-wife used to tell me, "you may have two degrees in math from Stanford University, but your not as smart as you think you are". LDG is one of those rare companies that stands behind their product 100%, I couldn't be happier with them. The 1000 was my second LDG tuner.

AT--1000ProII remote operation problem

My FT-710 will not tune my AT-ProII when connected with the ldg-y-acc remote cable. The tuner works fine manually or with my Icom 7610 connected remotely. Any ideas? Stephen n0bf

RT-100 has a Dead Short
10
Hello All - I have an RT/RC-100 combo that has worked very well for about 3 months feeding it with an ICOM 7600 barefoot at 100 watts. Now the RC-100 status light blinks. In checking, I see a dead short on the coax going to the RC-100. There hasn't been any tower that might have damaged the coax, so I strongly suspect that the RT-100 has the short internally. Has anyone run across this before? Thanks. Paul WB0GXD

Previous Email
Further to my previous email regarding my AT-1000 pro II, not only has the Antenna # 1 position failed but I had to pull it out of service and replace it with my Z-II Pro II as it was not functioning properly. The Z-II pro II is working better than the upgraded one. Mike Backlund 970-568-2477 cell Ke0sor¡ªHam Call Wx spotter # L860 Sent from Mail for Windows 10

Illuminating the LDG M-1000 Meter
2
Others might find helpful..... I find that the meter's leds at maximum brightness are still a little too dim for my eyes. A very inexpensive alternative light (EWX book light) with 3 power levers, 3 display spectrums (3K, 4K, and 5K), USB C connection for 2200mAH battery was my solution. (sorry for the camera glare on the image which doesn't do justice to light). Sam - WS4AM 3

Cable for AT-200ProII To Yaesu FTDX10

I have an AT-200ProII and Imhave noticed that there is a jack on the back for connecting a cable to a Yaesu rig. What do the tuner and rig do when connected together? Will it work with a Yaesu FTDX10?

AT-600ProII weirdness
6
Hi all - I'm new to this group. I purchased this tuner about 4-5 years ago and it's been working fine until recently. Twice in the past month, it lost its mind while tuning frequencies that have not given it problems in the past. In both cases, the receive audio level went WAY down also, across the entire band, only coming back if I switched antennas or put the tuner in Bypass mode (or turned it off). In both cases, I was using my amplifier, running about 500 watts, when the problem appeared. It won't attempt to tune at all, on either antenna, reporting SWR >>3.0 on frequencies it previously had no problems with, on multiple bands. The receive audio issue above seems worst on 20 meters, though it is present, though less, on other bands. The first time, the problem resolved on its own (not sure why). This time it seems persistent. Is there any way to "reset" the tuner, clear its memories, etc.? Or is this something that requires a physical fix? Thanks for any info! Bob -- 73, Bob KJ6GEU

RC-100 Controller with RT-600 ATU ?
8
Good morning I've built myself a Go-Box for our club Field Weekends, based around a Yaesu FT-897D. I have installed a RC-100 Controller and built a new antenna with the RT-100 at the feedpoint. At my home QTH I have a RC-600 controller with the RT-600 about 100ft away from the shack on a 110ft Doublet. I want to test my Go-Box at home using my QTH Doublet. If I leave the RC-600 switched off, but still in line, can I tune my QTH RT-600 with the RC-100 in my Go-Box? Alternatively, can I switch off the RC-100 built into my Go-Box and still put out a Tune carrier, say 15W through it via the RC-600 and tune my doublet in the normal way. I just don't want to blow anything up. Comments welcome Many thanks 73 Mick M0GWD

AT-200ProII SWR Error?
10
I have an AT-200ProII that is behaving strangely on the SWR reading. In Bypass, it reads over 3:1 SWR to a 50 ohm dummy load. I have an FTDX10 connected by RG58 to the AT, a piece of RG58 from the ANT2 output to an SWR meter, and another RG58 to a 50 ohm dummy load. The AT-200ProII is set for Semi Mode / Bypass. Keying the transmitter with about 30 watts shows full scale SWR on the AT unit, while the SWR meter on both the FTDX10 and the one inline show 1:1. Is there a reset function somewhere, or is this malfunctioning? If it won't read correct SWR in bypass to a dummy load, I don't trust it for matching. Thanks, Neil W0NRP

LDg at-600pro2 Leds SWR/power
5
Hey All¡ anybody know if one can open up this tuner, and by way of a longer cable (about 7 feet), send the led ¡°data¡± to LEDS or some other digital or analog meter away from the tuner? I know they had made in the past an external meter, but they are non-existent anymore. I currently have on order a kit to make a remote SWR/power bridge but it seems like redundancy when the tuner has that information already¡. Just wish I could bring it into view of my eyes while I¡¯m driving in my car with the tuner and radio/amp in the back¡. I have even thought of a view port and mirrors like the toy periscope we used to make, but that is just craziness! I¡¯ve already found out that my computer can hook up to the Tuner but something doesn¡¯t quite work right¡ I get band information but that¡¯s about it¡ it locks up so I can¡¯t use the computer in the front seat option¡

Interface cable for Icom IC-705 and AT-200Pro

I am looking to interface an IC-705 and AT-200Pro. Does anyone know the appropriate cable to use? Will a standard 3.5mm TRS cable work? Thanks!

RT-600 Doesn't remember tune settings above 30 Meters
2
I have an RT-600 at the base of an inverted L with 36 radials at 100' each. Recently, it won't remember tune settings on 20M and higher. On 30M and below, it works as it should. Example: Tune to 3.990, matches around 1.2:1. Switch to 14.080, matches around 1.5:1. Go back to 3.990, it tunes in less than 1 second. Back to 14.080, it retunes and takes about 20-30 seconds to find a match. I opened it up this morning, all looks good - no corrosion, bugs etc. Any clues what's happening on the higher bands? Thanks, Dave

z11pro 2 firmware 1.3 factory reset ?
Hi all, wondering how to reset the tuner to factory setting ( clearing all learned tunes ) I have an issue when switched to a band but SWR is not optimized and have to manually learn again. Then it finds the optimal setting but doesn't save it. That's an issue for auto-mode . The older model of the z11pro had an eprom reset... vy 73's Peter DF6QT

RT-100/RC-100 tuning problems on 20m
15
I have an RT-100/RC-100 remote tuner purchased new only a couple of months ago. I¡¯m using it with a 43 ft vertical together with a 4:1 unun. The tuner works great on all bands with the exception of 20 meters. Any ideas? I¡¯m suspecting a ground loop somewhere.

LDG AT 1000 pro II keeps re-tuning while talking
13
Hi All, my AT-1000 is often trying to re-tune while I am talking. My SWR threshold is set at 1:1.7 but effectively on 20m band I have a stable 1:1.1 and 1:1.3 at the end of band range. So I concentrated my tests on 20m bands at centre of band where I have a stable 1:1 if using AM(50W ) or FM (200W) But when I switch to SSB, the line of SWR led is glowing up to 1:1.7 or bit more and the tuner keeps re-tuning and my modulation is intermittent. So I need to remove manually all the times, the auto-tune option and this is very annoying. I could understand this if I was at the end of the range, but not where I have no SWR. Seen similar posts where behaviour is similar, but cannot find anyone has solved . Any thoughts please ? Tnx

LDG AT600 Pro II Memory Store & Recall
2
I am trying to use a new AT600 Pro II in Automatic mode and cannot seem to get it to recall a stored tune. Not having any experience with this unit, I am not sure if it is not sensing the RF to trigger the recall operation, or if maybe it just doesn't have a stored tune for the frequency. To troubleshoot, I am hoping someone can guide me with the following operational questions: 1. If the unit has manually or automatically created a tune, am I required to use "Func > tune/store" for it to actually store the tune in memory, or is the unit normally supposed to automatically save every tune it comes up with? 2. Assuming that a tune has been stored in memory, should I expect it to be recalled as soon as I transmit and should it be almost immediate, or should it take several seconds of relays chattering? From the behavior I am seeing, it does not recall a memory tune, but it also does not seem to reliably trigger into an automatic tune sequence, even with a very high SWR. As a result, I don't really know if there isn't a tune saved, or if it is not sensing my RF. I have been using a CW signal and have tried both 10 Watts and 30 Watts. Am I misunderstanding how to use it, or are the symptoms pointing to a possible hardware or firmware problem? Thanks, Brian AC7QE

LDG AT-11MP : Replacement Meter Backlight Bulb
13
Hi After years of faithful service my LDG AT-11MP Backlight Meter Bulb has failed - I contacted LDG to ask if they knew of the part number for a replacement bulb, but unfortunately they couldn't help. So I'm turning to the wisdom of the group that someone here can point me in the right direction, and very preferably (crossed fingers for luck) if there is an LED equivalent. I've had a look at the meter bulb and it looks like a T5 286, but don't have a T5 286 to hand to actually compare physically unfortunately. Thanks in advance Peter - GM8JCF
