When I bring up Remote Desktop Control on my PC it asks for a PC name.? What is the default name for my tuner?? It is not listed in the tuner manual. Thank you. Device Manager does show the cable with a Silicon Labs driver. |

From the LDG site where it talked about the cable to connect the Tuner to the PC for control using the meter port on the 600 and the 1000. On Sun, Nov 24, 2024 at 6:42?PM Micky Corrow via <opus=[email protected]> wrote:

开云体育Donald,LDG makes a dedicated control cable that connects from your RADIO to the LDG Tuner. The cable is different depending on make of radio - ICOM, KENWOOD, or YAESU. If ICOM, the tuner is even powered from the radio. When properly connected, radio front panel button can turn tuner on and off, and initiate a tune. Thomas KF7RSF

LDG sold a control cable for the 1000proii and the 600, but it is discontinued.? The cable had a built in USB device and plugged into the 6 pin port on the back of these two tuners.? There was also a Windows program to use with this device and it controlled these tuners and had a few extra options like switching the tuners to bypass after tuning.? I have both and they work great on my 1000proii.? Do not know of a source for the cable but it is unique and a standard USB device even with the 6 pin din connector does not work.? I think I have the wiring diagram for the cable on an old computer if that would help I can try to find it.? Good luck? 73? Emory? WM3M |

Thank you for the information.? LDG has the cable information under DOCS for the 1000. But since this is not going to be easy I will just keep doing this manually.? Thanks to all. On Mon, Nov 25, 2024 at 8:23?AM Emory Haines WM3M via <wm3m73=[email protected]> wrote:

This has been covered in the past. Due to liability issues at some point in the past the ability to control the AT1000PRO2 and 600 was removed from the firmware. This was instituted due to some operators using it to remotely control the tuner when using QRO power levels. I'm sure this was a liability that LDG did not want to be exposed to. I'm sure that is also the reason they discontinued the external meter since it uses the same TTL port and protocols to communicate. Since the logic is TTL level if you have an older firmware you could easily build a cable with a S-video cable and a usb to ttl adapter.? YMMV

This explains why I couldn't get the control cable working when I ordered the specific cable and adapter to build it.? Support did not tell me it was disabled via firmware, just it was unsupported... - Trent On Tue, Nov 26, 2024, 8:58?AM N5KBP via <martyduplissey=[email protected]> wrote:
