RT-11 tuner
Mike N7ZEF
Howdy;
?I have an LDG RT-11 tuner that I am wanting to use with my Icom IC-725. It just doesn't seem to be working. I press the tuner button on the radio, it looks like it is working, and then stops back to receiving. The indicator on the radio says "Through".? I have an meter connected to the output, it shows no power output. ?I am using a cable I made using what I found on the net. ?I would appreciate any help or suggestions. ?73 ?Mike - N7ZEF |
Hi Mike,
I recently bought an RT-11 from an estate auction. It came with the Icom wiring. I'm using it with a Kenwood TS-2000 so I built a smaller version of the remote head and that setup has been working fine for me. I'd be happy to make a? deal with you on this cable if you're interested, or I can provide you an actual pin-out if you want to confirm your cable. Have you tried the setup with a dummy load? At least you can remove one variable with that. Doug WA7DJS Lynden, WA.? |
Hi Mike,?
There are no numbers on the Molex connector but if I start from the pointed end: Pin 1 - Green wire - pin 7 on DB9 - Radio out Pin 2 - White wire - pin 3 on DB9 - Tune Mode Select Pin 3 - Red wire - Pin 1 on DB9 - 12v power Pin 4 - Black wire - Pin 8 on DB9 - Ground I hope this helps. I have no other thoughts on your problem but I would be happy to make comparison measurements if you get into troubleshooting. 73? Doug WA7DJS |
