Just had the same thing happen, but mine did not try to tune. Found that one of the batteries had jarred enough to not make connection. Pressed the battery back in the tray and it worked just fine.

I've been pairing my Yaesu Ft-891 with my new LDG Z-11 Pro II autotuner.? It has worked well for a few weeks.? Took it out for a POTA hunting and suddenly I could no longer tune to reasonsble SWR.?

Not sure about the ft-891 but I have an ft-857D and z100a and encountered the same problem.? I have 2 work arounds that might help.? 1- do not put the stereo acc plug all the way in the acc port.?

FT857 has SWR fold back. I would guess the FT891 does also. I've ran my FT857 and FT950 with LDG tuners for years and the transmit power reduces until the SWR drops below 2:1. Leonard K. Pennock AD7AS
