Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
Steve ¨C When I first set it up, I felt the same. But now that I¡¯ve used it for a while, it seems natural to hold the button for a second and the issue is gone. I seldom use bypass and virtually

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
Memory tune on the LDG AT-897 Plus tuner is done by holding the TUNE button until the LED comes ON. Perhaps this is also possible on other LDG tuners. Perhaps not. (The AT-897 tuners were only

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
Lyn, I have also been wondering about the bypass/quick/full tune button setup since the AT series was introduced - very awkward function combination! ?The timing gap between a quick tap to bypass and

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
Sorry, misunderstood question. My early reply was in reference to using ALE.? When scanning with ALE you would want the tuner to go to bypass after sounding/transmitting.? If tuner remains in line

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
A momentary (very quick) press of the TUNE button puts the AT-600 into Bypass mode, whether you just tuned it or not. The question is, if you need it to tune, why would you want it to subsequently go

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
As far as I know the AT-600 and 1000 do not go into bypass after tuning, wish they did. The only way I have got them to go into bypass after tuning is to use the other ALE program, connect the LDG USB

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
I¡¯m using an Icom 7300. A full retune or frequency change cures the problem. It¡¯s a strange one! Ian

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
My AT-600 ProII does the same thing.? It is not going to bypass because the SWR is good, but signal levels are down 10 dB or more on receive.? IF I go to a different frequency and retune, the signal

Re: Using Z-100A tuner "manually" with home-brew rigs
I have 2 QRP CW transceivers that I built (20M, 40M) following a design published by K9AY in QST Dec 1990 and Jan 1991.? They each run 5-10W output.? I also have a Radio Shack HTX-100 10M CW & SSB

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
I've noticed the exact same behavior with my AT-1000 Pro II and IC-7300.? I'm using it with a K4KIO hexbeam.? I don't think I tried it on the Buckmaster 7-band OCF but will try to remember to do

Re: AT-7000 and FT-891
Ryan, The AT-7000 works pretty much the same as any LDG tuner, they are all basically the same except for the interface cables.? If you can make or find a cable that will work with the AT-7000 and

Re: At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
Any chance it¡¯s just going into Bypass mode the first time? Or connecting to Ant 2, and you have a dummy load there? If you ¡°save¡± the correct tune, does it go there automatically the next time?

What radio? Sounds like it might be T/R relay circuit sticking. 73, Ken, KJ9B <miles.04.spirals@...> wrote:

Re: AT-7000 and FT-891
The Yaesu FT-891 does not provide the necessary _START signal to directly operate the LDG AT-7000. Yaesu rigs send serial CAT commands to the FC-40 or FC50 Yaesu antenna tuners. You will have to wire

At-1000 pro 2 and 10m
Interesting ¡°feature¡± with my At-1000 pro 2. When I tune on 10m it will sometimes tune a good SWR, but the band sounds dead - no noise, no nothing. A retune and the band is full of life. This only

Re: AT-7000 and FT-891
It is basically the same as the later units, but the relay logic is different. The control is the same as the later model Icoms. You can rig some of the manual switches to make it tune like the Icom

Re: Using Z-100A tuner "manually" with home-brew rigs
There is a lot of comments on the QRP-labs group cautioning against use of auto tuners on simple qrp radios. Simple qrp radios dont have much protection against high swr. As tuners spend a few seconds
