at-1000pro autotunner
Daniel Curry K6DLC
?Hello all,
? I have some questions about the operation of my at-1000pro. 1) what is the plug? specific size for the 12 volt connection on the back of the tuner?? 2) It mentions that I change the power meter from 100w x 1 to 1000w x 10. How do I do this? 3) how do I read the transmit power?? Thank you |
Re: LDG IT100 Pic16F886 needed
Hi Neil, Thanks for info. I downloaded the zip file and found the manual and schematics. No hex file for the PIC. 73's Steli AE6OR

Re: AT-100PROii front panel dont work
Hi Lars, I think I can help you on this one, I got a AT-600 PRO 11 with this problem, and I have now fixed?it, it was not the CPU, it was a small 5pin comparator that it uses for the remote switching from the back panel, what was happening is that the comparator was making it look to the CPU that the tune switch was on all of the time so that when you turn the? tuner on it will not do anything Each switch has a 5v supply going to it using a 10k ohm resistor, so when you push a switch that line is sent to ground 0V,? so with the tuner? switched on , test each switch for the 5V ,you may find that the tune one will not have 5V as it is being pulled to 0V Ground, or it could be any of the switches gone bad, but I would test the tune one before testing the others, I then ,cut the track going to the pic CPU pin,? to the comparator, and all worked fine, so then I got a new and comparator, and changed it,? Then fixed the track I cut,? Now it is working fine, This was with a at-600pro2 but your switching may work the same, Please let me know how you get on with it, Thanks Dave 2E0DMB On Wed, 27 Apr 2022, 18:48 Lars H Flygare, <lars@...> wrote: Hi |

Re: AT-100PROii front panel dont work
Hi Lars i just looked at the diagram in the files section, and it does work the same as the at-600 that i have fixed , there was as short
from pin 1, U1 going to the PIC CPU, pin 40, that is the tune switch input , so like i said i cut the track at the pin 1 U1, Then all of the buttons work as they should,, but yours could just be a bad switch, stuck on, but test u1, pin 1 see if it is going to ground, i think that there was about 50ohms from pin 1 U1 to 0V Ground, Thanks Dave 2E0DMB |
AT-600 Pro II not tuning
Hi folks;
I have an AT-600 Pro II that I got back around 2015. I loved it, and it would tune both my antennas, a 102' ladder line fed flattop (through a 4:1 balun) and a 34 foot Eagle One vertical. Station is a Yaesu FT 950 and occasionally a SB-200 (nominal 600 watts). I was silly, always tuning with no more than 20 watts, usually using the Yaesu interface I got for it. One day, it started going nuts during a contact, trying to tune while I was talking, and sometimes would tune to about 2.5:1 when I first tuned up, and I would have to go and twiddle with the cap or coil buttons, and was usually able to tweak it down below 1.5:1. However, it got to where it would do nothing at all, and no manner of tweaking or messing with the buttons would get it to tune again. The relays would click when I pressed c-up or l-up and so on, but it would not tune I am going to try the factory reset, but if that fails, is there a sensor chip or something that can be replaced? And if so, how hard - I am 71 YO and do not have the hand dexterity for fine solder work. I would not want to send it back in, as repair work is so expensive, so any help would be appreciated. |
Re: Buzzzzz
Thanks Bruce. I can do that. Eric On Wed, Apr 27, 2022 at 2:03 AM Bruce Collins <kb0tj1@...> wrote: I would flip the circuit board over inside the tuner and check to see if one it more of the toroid coils have a bad solder joint.? |
Buzzzzz
Hello,? My LDG AT-100ProII is making a buzzing noise when I key CW (buzz coming from the tuner).? It's doing this on 40 and 20M, not 15, where it seems to tune up normally.? I'm running an IC-746 thru the tuner to a ZeroFive vertical 10-40M.? Nothing I'm aware of has changed in my antenna, connections or coax, yet the tuner is actually buzzing along with the sidetone of my Icom.? ?Anyone have an idea of what might be going on?? ?Thanks!?

Re: AT-200 ProII Minimum tuning power

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Charlie. ? This is a conundrum with the QRP radios. Most tuners need at least 10 watts to reliable get a match. ?I have used the AT200 Pro II and it will not reliably get a match with a 5Watt drive. ? You would have to light up the amp to say 25W or so by controlling the output of the Hermes.? There are no other real good solutions to the problem with the exception of making every band resonant at the desired Frequency on your antenna. ? Ronnie VE3NLS ? ? ? ? From: <[email protected]> on behalf of Charlie Rubenstein <charlier@...> ? I'm using a Hermes Lite SDR (5W max) which drives an (up to) 150W external amplifier. I use the Hermes alone to tune. |
AT-200 ProII Minimum tuning power
I'm using a Hermes Lite SDR (5W max) which drives an (up to) 150W external amplifier. I use the Hermes alone to tune.
Originally I was looking at the AT100ProII, but see that it is limited to 30W on digital modes. I'd like to have more headroom than that so as not to fry the tuner if the amp exceeds that. I see that the AT200Proii can handle up to 100W digital, so feel that would be sufficient, however it appears to need 5W for tuning.? 5W output from the Hermes is a maximum output, on some bands, it might be slightly lower. Will that not work with the AT200Proii??? I also considered "training" the tuner with a higher powered radio, for the tuner to gain memories on band segments, and then reconnect the QRP radio to trigger a memory tune. Or, does a memory tune also require a minimum of 5W? Thanks Charlie KB8CR |
Re: How ro connect Yaesu FTDX 101D Tuner port to LDG1000proII ?
Hi, You might look at the YT-PAC-1200. That cable is good for the FTdx-1200 and FT-450 -? both (and the FTdx-101) use the Tuner port to run the FC-40 tuner, so I guess we can assume the ports are setup the same way.?? Also, LDG offers a Y-ACC-2 (available in April) that connects to the?FT-450 (D), FT-950, FT-dx1200, FT-dx10 - all of these radios use the FC-40, so we can assume... This cable does not supply power to the tuner, however. You will want to confirm this on your own - I'm making assumptions since I don't have an FTdx-101 here. Mike KD9CK
