Salon flooring Lagoon 470
i am trying to understand how the salon flooring is installed in a 2003 lagoon. I have one section under the sliding door that has begun to sag--it sags along a butt joint which runs perpendicular to the door, and from the butt joint under the door trim, about six inches in each direction. The floor itself seems solid and has no sign of water damage---save for the sagging. The adjacent floor seems rock solid. My best theory is that there is water damage that I cannot see under the facia/trim that is under the door track. Anyone have insight as to what the structure looks like under the floor? (Cleats, joists, etc...) and how it is attached... how is the facia/trim under the door attached? Can it be removed? and any thoughts on how to repair would be appreciated... many thanks in advance cheers john

Need to Source Replacement Windlass for Lagoon 44
My Leroy Somer Windlass (Model G-17584) needs replacement for my Lagoon L-440 after 14 years of solid service. I've been told that Leroy Somer is no longer making windlass's. So, I am looking for a replacement windlass that will "fit" where the original factory installed Leroy Somer Windlass was installed. Any ideas/sources/vendors would be greatly appreciated. Tacho 3
My first post on this new Lagoon site congratulations and well done Richard for all the work and time you must have put in to get this up and running, Back to subject I own a Lagoon 400 brought new in 2010 arrived here in Melbourne Australia on a container ship in September of that year with about 2 hours on the 40 HP engines, total time on both now 310 hours, at about 180 hours I thought the tachos had failed because the hour meter numbers disappeared on one then the other but next start up they reappeared after getting used to this I realized the hours were accurate even though the numbers disappeared from time to time but always reappeared ( I always log start up time and shut down time in my log book ) so I can calculate fuel burn etc, I am now thinking of selling and I wonder how I should explain this to a prospective buyer as it would look most suspicious as my hours are quite low, I thought of changing the tachos to new ones but it is an expensive exercise and then the new tacho would read zero time unless one ran it on a bench until the time matched the old tach, all a bit messy when the reality is there is nothing wrong with the current tacho's except this annoying inconsistent read out of the engine hours. Is this a common fault?? given I am thinking of selling how would I explain the problem to a possible buyer.

THE LAGOON CAT OWNERS GROUP IS NOW FUNCTIONING AT GROUPS.IO 4
The full site transfer worked! All our 25,000+ posts, 2000+ members and thousands of photos and files have been successfully transferred to Groups.io. /g/lagooncatowners is our new home. You can now access everything on the site and post messages. The new site appears to have more features and has worked flawlessly so far. Since there were no postings possible for the past few weeks on the Yahoo Groups site, I hope you will jump right in and get back up to speed on this new site. Please add your full name, boat name, Lagoon Model and Hull # to your member registration. Also, adding a signature with that information + your current location to your posts will help everyone know who and where you are. Sorry that it took so long to realize that we were out of business on Yahoo Groups. This has happened to some Yahoo Groups while others continue to function. Yahoo has abandoned the Groups website and does not support it. So there was no alternative except to move away from them. Groups.io made the transfer relatively easy. Fair winds and calm seas, Your Founder and Moderator Richard

IMPORTANT -- THE GROUP IS MOVING TO GROUPS.IO
TO ALL LAGOON CAT OWNERS GROUP MEMBERS: It appears that Yahoo groups is no longer being supported or even functioning properly. We have had no posts on our Yahoo Group in several weeks. We still have 2500 members, but no functioning group. Your will soon be receiving an invitation from a new Lagoon Cat Owners Group on groups.io. Many Yahoo Groups have transferred their operation to groups.io successfully. I am hopeful that all our posts, photos and files will be transferred to groups.io. All Lagoon Cat Owners members will then receive an automatic invitation to join the new site on groups.io. Please respond to the invitation and let's get the group functioning again on groups.io. Sorry for these problems. Let's work together and get the group re-established on groups.io. Thanks! Richard

[LagoonOwners] 1994 tpi 37 window replacement? 5
We just pulled a couple of ours out and then rebedded them. We decided to not replace ours at this time as they are in okay shape. I believe Midland Plastics in New Berlin, WI has an oven big enough to bend them. A sheet of 1/2" tinted acrylic is a little less than $500. They have a fabrication dept that can produce it but I think they may need to have the old one to make the form. Rick s/v Mai Tai L37 TPI

lagoon 380S2 2
Hello everybody I have a Lagoon from 2006. So far so good and I love her. During my work on the boat I found some free places for fuses. Right above over the automatic bilge pumps. Cabel are connected. My question: does anybody know what ist connected at the other thre fuse space holders? I guess it might be fans in the cabins but not shure. Best regards uli

[LagoonOwners] Digest Number 4443
You need to slightly raise the motor(Topping or main haylayd), remove the motor mounts( then the bracket, if the oil filter side, remove filter, oil is below the filter so no need to drain. John and Sally McCartney S/V Latitude Adjustment

Early Lagoon380 Engine driven fridge mounting bracket problem
Folie a Deux, hull number 47, lagoon 3803, is parting with her original frigoboat engine driven refrigeration compressor. The problem is a rusted bolt frozen in the special engine bracket which attaches to the engine's left side forward motor mount.[see attached photo] I was hoping to use the bolt to attach the alternator belt adjustment arm. does anyone have experience removing an engine driven fridge from an early model L380? thanks, tim and tracey St Augustine, FL

Sulfur smell in fresh water in heads 6
Can anyone shed light on why the water coming from the lavatory faucett on all four 2011 L400 heads smells of sulfur? The galley water is fine, so it is something particular to the heads, not the whole system. The first ounce or so after not being used for a while seems OK.

Profurl In Boom Furling
Does anyone else have a Profurl boom? I have had no trouble with mine for the last 9 years. We have just had a new mainsail made and its not wanting to roll up. Sailmaker rigging company and I are all scratching our heads trying to figure out why. Any thoughts from those with similar systems? Thanks Derick Stray Cat 2 L380 # 24

[LagoonOwners] Sulfur smell in fresh water in heads
Does it taste salty? Do you have (or borrow) a salinity tester? Sea water is more dense than fresh water so if you have sea water intrusion in the system it will concentrate in the lowest parts of the hoses (bilge areas) which likely lead to your heads. As you likely know it¡¯s the dead sea creatures that create the sulfur smell... and they die quickly in a dark hose. Tim
