Rope loop boom end
#380s2
Hello everyone
We have a Lagoon 380 S2, hull no. 519 and are currently in Colombia. The rope loops around the end of the boom look pretty worn (flat/burned) and we would like to replace them. Does anyone know where to get those and what exactly they are called? Any addresses where to purchase them in the US or Europe? Thanks a lot! Fair winds from Martin and Anna on PACHAMAMA |

I called it a boom-strap/mainsheet-strap. I had one made by Stix-n-Rig'n() in Kemah, TX, US and shipped. The original was 52" circumference(26" folded) but I felt this was too long and caused the mainsheet to rub on our hardtop, so I tightened it up to about 44.5" circumference(folded to 22.25"). Cheers, Brett

Agree with Meir. For our L400, I made a strop of 1/8 inch dyneema to replace the velcro webbing that came with the boat. Spliced eyes in each end and used a small shackle to secure it. Works great as the dyneema easily slides along the boom with the outhaul. -Tim

I would not invest too much effort in tracing original setup.
Any piece of line, preferably dyneema would serve the purpose.
Only my opinion of course...
