Re: 2011 Lagoon 450 Standing Rigging

Are you looking at an inspection report or are you just replacing your rigging because it's 10 years old?

Has anyone recently had their standing rigging replaced and if so where did you have the work done and what did it cost? I received a quote for 24K. Thanks!

Hi Steve, Are you saying you need to replace your standing rigging after 8 years??

Re: L380 Large Windows

I had one for an L400 made from polycarbonate (Lexan), about 6mm as I remember.

Re: L380 Large Windows

I believe L410 is 8mm acrylic. Same material as hatch lens. Probably the same for L380.?

L380 Large Windows

Has anyone sourced the large windows on the L380 (2007)? The factory price has just doubled (now ?1000 each delivered!) and I thought I'd look into sourcing them from elsewhere. I've got the outline dimensions but I wonder if anyone knows what the thickness is? Also is the material anything special or just acrylic?

410 Enclosure

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

On my 2004 410 I have line sail bags made by a company called NV Industries. When I went to their site low and behold they make enclosures for several Lagoons as well.

?

?

I didn¡¯t find my bags on the site, a mesh, but the enclosure looked good and damn cheap!

Has anyone dealt with this company (French) and if so is there a US supplier you know of? Again their site was hard to follow and didn¡¯t indicate a supplier here in the states.

Re: Lagoon 380 salontop grabrail backing cover

I did it carefully and put it in place with a bit of glue. It is only a thin plate.?

Re: sugar scoop rub rail replacement

I got mine here in the states for $110 plus $30 shipping. FOR BOTH SIDES! I'm not sure but I think they messed up by sending both but I won't complain. This was thru Beneteau parts here. Thanks for the suggestions, I was planning on using a heat gun (limited H/W) and look at the 5000 to seal.?

I purchased the rub rail through Lagoon: Just 70€ per side for Lagoon 380!? Shipping cost more than doubled this.

It fit into a large platic tub as found in hardware stores. I added hot water and let it sit for at least an hour, leaving the tap open a bit so the hot water was constantly replaced and really hot.
Then I just pushed it over the scoops in one go and let it cool for a few hours. Once cool it retained the new shape and it was easy to take the lowest part off again, add some sika, and push it on again. Last thing was cutting the trim at the ends, and fixing it with the screws.

Easy job as long as you have access to (unlimited) hot water.?

Re: sugar scoop rub rail replacement

I¡¯ve done it and helped a friend do his. The rub rail is very stiff and impossible to install unless you heat it. Two methods work great: a heat gun or, a huge boiling bowl filled with water heated with a propane burner to heat the whole rail. I rented the ¨¦quipement. Easy to find...on the continent.?

1- With the heat gun you have to be careful not to overheat and burn.
2- boiling water approach you have to figure out how to keep the remaining rail in hot water and work at a decent pace. it cools down quickly. You wont be able to complete a hull fast enough not to reheat. I got half way down to the latter. Don¡¯t try to force it in with tools and such. Won¡¯t work and you¡¯ll damage it and waist caulking! With hot water you can¡¯t burn the rail so safer.

i used 3M 4000. Put it on the hull joint, press the rub rail in and clean up.

1-2 day job. Time well spent!

Has anyone else replaced the rub rail on their sugar scoops? Anything I should know or do? Was wondering if there was a sealant or adhesive I should be using.

Lagoon 380 salontop grabrail backing cover

We have a leak in one of the salon top grab rails.? Water enters and leaks into the salon from one of the backing cover plates.

Has anyone any ideas on removing the backing plate without damaging it??

Recessed puck lights

Hi..I am looking for a source for the puck lights for the L420 2007.? These are the ones overhead of the births and have a little switch.? They are tension mounted in the ceiling.? I can find similar lights, but none with switches.
Thanks

Re: Lagoon 440 cabin window film

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Hi,

Has anyone had problems with these windows popping out - either completely or partially?? If so, how did you fix that?

Fair winds,
Glen

Re: Lagoon 440 cabin window film

I used #m

3M adhesive remover, immediately after removing I diligently washed window with a mild soap water mixture to remove any residue.

I had no issue with streaking or melting of window from the 3M procduct.

Replace Dripless Seal and Thrust Bearing on Lagoon Powercat #ownersversion

I need to replace the thrust bearings and dripless seals on my 2004 Lagoon 43 PC. While I'm pulling the prop shaft, I'll also replace the cutlass bearing. From what I understand, this is a fairly common problem.? Unfortunately, Lagoon doesn't offer support for boats of this age. Can anyone help me with some instructions and manufacturer's part numbers? I've located a supplier for PSS dripless seals, but could use help with locating a supplier for the thrust bearings and cutlass bearings.?
