Re: [LagoonOwners] flexprops experience

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I have Flexofold 2 blade on my boat. My Lagoon, being the predecessor to the L380, has shaft drive. I found that the 2 blade have more vibration and noise then my fixed props did. I believe that most of this is related to the shaft drive and may not affect a sail drive the same way. If I had it to do over I would have gotten 3-blade. All other aspects about the Flexofold are fantastic. Motoring performance is better then my fixed 2 blade. Reverse works the same. I've run charters for 12 years so I pull into docks a lot!?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Re: [LagoonOwners] Re: replacing rudder

I have a bearing replacement coming up but more important is replacing the rusted "quadrants" or arms that the link bar and autopilot ram connects to.? Is there an off the shelf option or do I need to have them made.? I am not even sure how successful I will be in removing them.

Re: 380S2 - Folding serving table between galley and cockpit

You can try the spare parts site: ?spare parts.beneteauusa.com but not sure if they ship to NZ or not. ? ?I just replaced my old, original white fold-out with a new teak fold out. ?I just removed the old one and took it to a local carpenter and he fabricated a new one and re-used the original hardware.

380S2 - Folding serving table between galley and cockpit

Hi, I am looking for a folding serving table, as my boat came without one.

If anyone knows a source that would send to New Zealand, I would be appreciative. Thanks

Re: Declaration of conformity and builders certificate

Builder's certificate is boat specific. Issued by builder (Lagoon in your case) and has the boat's specific data on it (e.g. hull number and first owner's name). If you do not have it only Lagoon can have a copy made. But, perhaps original owner or original selling agent may have a copy in their possession.
As to certificate of conformity, I am not sure what the authorities mean, but on the builder's cert. there is a statement of Lagoon that the boat was built per EC standards.

Re: Declaration of conformity and builders certificate

I have the CE certificate which is a required document to register a boat at least in germany. I do not have a builders certificate, but was never asked to provide it when selling / registering.

I once bought a used Lagoon that had no CE certificate, but the broker (also a Lagoon dealer) asked Lagoon for a replacement document. They issued a new CE certificate for I think 50 Euro.

Are you selling to a Greek??If not selling to a Greek I don't think greek authorities have anything to say CE certificate or anything else in the deal.?
The only thing they can ask for is proof of VAT status, but this they can ask any private owner. That is either VAT on purchase if originally bought in EU waters, or proof of customs duty on permanent import into EU waters.?

Hull Escape Hatches

Good day. Does anyone know the brand name and model of the two opening escape hatches in the two aft cabins of a Lagoon 500? Our hatches are leaking and likely need a seal replacement. There are no markings or numbers on the hatches.

Re: Large windows leaking

Hi,

Is there anybody on the forum who has solved a leak in one or more of the four large hull windows (not the salon windows)? If so, how do you remove the inside bezel without damaging it?

Thanks!

Declaration of conformity and builders certificate

Hi all, really hoping you can help

We are just in the process of selling our 380. The Greek Officials are requiring a "Declaration of conformity" and a Builders certificate. WE've never seen either of these things among our boat papers. We've been trying to wrestle something out of Lagoon by phone in France (we are in New Zealand), but they are giving us the run around. It might help if we could show them what we need. Would anyone have a copy? Do you all have them?

thanks - nerve wracking times when a sale is about to go through

gooseneck on L500

Has anyone ever lowered the gooseneck position on a 500 before? Our gooseneck needs complete servicing and the rigger is suggesting to lower the position (we're also having a new main cut). But, I'm unsure the benefit other than making the sail easier to reach at the mast, and worried about any potential downsides.

L380 Profurl foresail furlerissue

Fezywig L380 #288 here. I went through the WichardAmerica.com and figured out I have a Profurl L42 furler on my foresail. When we hoisted the jib for the first time after going through Hurricane Maria in Puerto Del Rey yard in Puerto Rico, we couldn't raise the jib past the forestay joints as they were misaligned, probably due to the wear and tear of the hurricane winds. My rigger helped the jib past the joints and we haven't taken the jib down since.? Has anyone had this issue with their furler? Will I have problems taking the jib down or will the jib's luff tape keep the joint aligned?

I'm in Martinique now and will try to find parts here to rebuild the joints (three sections with two joints) and will then repair when we get to Grenada in early May when we haul out. Does anyone have any experience to share on how to repair these joints and are there any tricks that would allow us to not have to pull the mast?

My 2015 S2 has no inverter, and I want to add one. I think it would be simpler to replace the cristec charger with an inverter charger. My boat is not easily accessable right now, I have put in solar, but haven't fully traced the AC side, can't get a wiring diagram from Lagoon and am hoping someone has more info than I.

1. The AC comes in through the aft by water heater, and then does it go to the panel above the chart table where I have 2 switches (pretty sure they are not breakers), one for AC plugs and the other for charger, and back to the the charger and distributed?

2. If so, is it split before going to the switches, one for the switch on the plugs, the other for the charger?

3. Is there some distribution box for the plugs? Hard to believe that one switch on the control panel feeds 8 outlets. Pretty sure there is another breaker by the DC bus bar next to the port side stairs. So was figuring it goes to the switch from incoming outside connection, then to a breaker, then to the outlets?

Thanks.
