Re: Rope loop boom end
#380s2
Agree with Meir. For our L400, I made a strop of 1/8 inch dyneema to replace the velcro webbing that came with the boat. Spliced eyes in each end and used a small shackle to secure it. Works great as the dyneema easily slides along the boom with the outhaul. -Tim

I would not invest too much effort in tracing original setup.
Any piece of line, preferably dyneema would serve the purpose.
Only my opinion of course...

Re: Rope loop boom end
#380s2
I called it a boom-strap/mainsheet-strap. I had one made by Stix-n-Rig'n() in Kemah, TX, US and shipped. The original was 52" circumference(26" folded) but I felt this was too long and caused the mainsheet to rub on our hardtop, so I tightened it up to about 44.5" circumference(folded to 22.25"). Cheers, Brett

Rope loop boom end
#380s2
Hello everyone
We have a Lagoon 380 S2, hull no. 519 and are currently in Colombia. The rope loops around the end of the boom look pretty worn (flat/burned) and we would like to replace them. Does anyone know where to get those and what exactly they are called? Any addresses where to purchase them in the US or Europe? Thanks a lot! Fair winds from Martin and Anna on PACHAMAMA |

Re: Good place to sell a L400
Hi Bruce
Rex from Tamata, now Tequila Sunset, Lagoon 440, met you at Palmerston, when you thankfully used your sewing machine to repair my mainsail.? If if you are looking for as good a place as any and probably better than most, I would suggest Boatworks on the Gold Coast, Qld... google them for more info. ?Everything you need is there along with a choice of brokers, can discuss that with you further at a later date. I sailed from Noumea to Gold Coast, a good run, and plenty of very safe anchorage when you get here. Have a look at google earth.? Cheers Rex |

Re: Good place to sell a L400
Call Tim Vine at YOTI, they are nice people, very straightforward about the process and market and do a very professional job. They are based in Sydney but I think have an office in Brisbane / Gold Coast area as well.
They sold our Lagoon 380 last year in a matter of weeks for right around what we paid for it in the UK several years earlier. Also there¡¯s nice cruising in Pittwater and Sydney if you want to live aboard while you wait for the boat to sell. Paul Ridley Due West |

Good place to sell a L400
Bruce Wacker
I'm in the SW Pacific (Vanuatu) and it looks like I may be selling my 2011 L400 at the end of the season. I've heard the market is good in Australia, but would appreciate any suggestions including locations and dealers where buyers are likely to be found. Reasonable storage fees while it is on the market would also be good. It has new rigging and lots of upgrades.
Thanks, Bruce |

Re: 380S Gennaker FOR SALE
Hi Marcus
1. Do you have the equipment on your boat to deploy the gennaker? i.e. bowsprit, dect turning blocks, starboard winch? 2. If you have the above, you need to measure the distance from the spinnaker turning block near mastop to the padeye at the end of the bowsprit. 3. Ask the seller what is the luff length of the sail. It should include the length of his furler if he has any. 4. Compare the dimensions. It probably fits as his boat is smaller. 5. If he does not have a furler, see if the luff length + new roller fits your dimensions taken at point 2. allways allow few cm freedom at both sides to be able to play around with the actual installation. |

Brandon Wieschhaus
Hello all! After adventuring around for a few years here in Puget Sound (and beyond), we've decided we need to part ways with our beloved Lagoon 380 owner's version. We're just spinning too many plates and need to slim down a bit! We've listed it with a broker, but we can sell without the broker and save the commission. Full details can be found here:
And more pics are on our website, .
Reach out to us directly if interested, and feel free to share the post with your friends!

Re: 380S Gennaker FOR SALE
Hello Carl, My boat is in Pensacola, where are you located? Is the gennaker set up on a furler? I would like to take a look at it. Do you know the age and measurements of the sail?
