Re: how does everybody divided the top door freezer on 410
I have bought aluminium stackable shelf’s that screw together from Ikea. The shelf size go from 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the compartment, allowing you to work your way around content or have bottles size items stand up. Not perfect but way better than a pit!

Re: [LagoonOwners] Lagoon 380 S2 Sail Package
It is relativel easy, if you know what to do, to measure existing sails foot, luff & leech. The difficult part is to replicate shape, to get exact draught of same depth and in the same position.
The original sailmaker keeps it as trade secret. A good sailmaker should be able to replicate it from his proffesional knowledge and experience. |
Re: [LagoonOwners] how does everybody divided the top door freezer on 410
开云体育First off what are you using the boat for, cruising or weekend/week sailing? I also have a 410 with a 5’-0” wife who has the same problem reaching down to the bottom of the freezer. Since we are the latter, weekend and week long sailing at this point, I decided to reduce the area in the freezer by placing 2 storage containers on the bottom of the freezer then a 3” cut to fit insulation board on top, just below the cooling plates. I then taped the top and sides to form a seal reducing the area by ? with a drain cut into the bottom with tubing fitted into the bottom drain of the freezer. In 2 years we haven’t missed the additional freezer space. When we retire in a year or so and start to travel for longer distances I will remove the foam and open the lower space for additional storage. Now if I could figure out how to get to the back of the frig without getting down on my belly the boat would be perfect! ? Steve in Solomons MD 410 S2 E ? ? From: lagooncatowners@... Re: Lagoon 380 S2 Sail Package
开云体育INCIDENCE sails in France were the original suppliers of sails....we ordered a new Genoa for our 380 while sailing in the pacific from them. Told them our model and hull number and it arrived 2 weeks later. No drama. We are looking for a new main soon for our 400 and will probably go the same way.? ? ? Regards John Jarvis ? ? ? |

Nah, I didn't even THINK about the square top main - maybe I should have!? Went with a "standard" roached main, with 3 reefs, and a 130% genoa - both with heavy offshore fabric.? Of course, once you get new sails, you need new sheets too, so it's all nice and new together! Brandon On Tue, Jan 16, 2018 at 8:19 PM, robert@... [lagooncatowners] <lagooncatowners@...> wrote:

Not that I was able to find, and I looked HARD! Which leaves you with a local sailmaker, or an internet-based sailmaker. I chose the latter, based on price, and options (I wanted black sails). We went with Far East Sailmakers, despite their name. The process was pretty straightforward, but measurements are up to you, or you could contract that out to someone local. Re: Lagoon 380 S2 vs Leopard 39 (Moorings 3900)
@rob i have to admit that I was wrong about some materials used in the 380 build
The deck is? balsa cored as mentioned before. The hull is solid glass below the waterline and foam core above, and not balsa cored as I said previously. I just had a look behind the head's wall and it looks like there is foam in the main areas and some balsa trim on the edges. Please find attached a photo of that section. I never had to drill a hole in the hull above the water line so I relied on second hand knowledge and that was wrong. Sorry for any confusion caused The Bimini top itself seems to be foam cored as well, at least I just poked out some foam when doing a small repair. |
Re: Mast Step , Leaks running into locker
Hi Steve
I had the same issue with this drain. It clogged often and will eventually rot the lower part the water tank forward plywood protection, which I had to replace. I change the original small clamshell drain with the larger drain fitting used for both forward lockers and enlarged the hole. Easy job, solid glass around that hole and it looks good with no more clogging issues. It should have been the default as there is no way the original 3/8” space will let even small weeds and mud pass. --- David Godin |
