Greetings...
I am looking for a writer to work with on a story having to do with Broadway
Avenue in downtown LA. Broadway Ave. is on the verge of separating even
further from its past and some of those 'links', those that connect the
present to the past are breaking everyday as deals are being brokered to
revitalize the LA's 'Historic Core', as the area is called. The project I
am looking for a writer for has to do with one of those links that will be
broken on the 28th of March.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-redevelopment/revitalization/preservation,
I just see there is much to be lost in the transition, and as a photographer
my goal is to document this.
It is imperative that anyone interested contact me ASAP for a discussion on
the direction of this project and potential outlets for exposure and
publication. I am particularly interested in working with someone who is
just starting out and is interested in solidifying a name for themselves in
the area of urban development, 'street' history, or social/cultural issues
of contemporary LA. I am in a simliar nascent position, and believe that
for the write person, this opportunity I am advertising would be mutually
beneficial.
Please email me: alexyy9@.... I will respond to all emails I
receive, if you don't hear from me within a day after you reply, please
resend your message. I have been having trouble with my email account...
Thank you,
Lorena Turner
