Antenna switch assignment

Ray,
?
I would really like to just discuss the antenna switch issue. ?

Brian, KC4KK, glad to know you got your LA-1K used.? Thought I'd take this opportunity to share with you my 18-Oct-2023 post /g/la1k/message/1442 of numerous serious issues relative to the LA-1K for your situational awareness.

The amp antenna inputs can not be set up for different bands. There is no setting in the amp menu for that.
So I don't know what you are trying to do but you can not set the antenna inputs for different bands.

I clearly explained how my system works and it has worked flawlessly since I bought the amp over a year ago.

I got mine used and it is very nice. ?The amp works very well outside of the switch issue. ?

You are selecting between the 10 and 12 m antennas with the Hf auto tuner. ?The La-1k goes to antenna tied to 10-12m.

Hi Brian, KC4KK, hopefully you didn't acquire your LA-1K brand new.? I paid just under USD $3,700.00 for the POS brand new in January 2023.

In my 8-May-2023 post /g/la1k/message/1282 I described a serious LA-1K design shortcoming, in which Palstar puts three (3) Amateur Radio Bands all in the same icon in the "SELECT BAND" screen of their LA-1K.

After reading my post, I'm quite sure you will see that the challenge I faced from day one applies to your situation too, and btw a band cable won't make a difference at all.

Well I am not sure why you can not have two antennas, one for 10 and one for 12 meters because I do.

I have an HF-Auto tuner in line.
Antenna port one has the coax for my 80/40 fan dipole connected to it.
Antenna port two has my Hy-Gain TH2MK3 20-10 M yagi connected to it.
Antenna port 3 has a remote coax switch connected to it which handles a 30 M dipole, 17 M raised vertical, 12 M delta loop and 6 meter yagi.

So if I want to operate on 12 M I use HF-AUTO port #2, put the remote coax switch on the relay that the 12 M loop is connected to on the remote switch mounted on the tower.

Key amp, amp goes to 12-10 meter settings and I am good to go.

My 3 HF rigs are all connected to a 4 position coax switch. From there the coax jumper goes to the amp input. Then from the amp Antenna 1 goes to the tuner.? I use Antenna 2 on the amp for my dummy load for testing purposes.

All of my HF rigs can key the amp by using a DX Engineering Dual Keyline.

So I am not sure why you can't have two separate antennas for 10 and 12 meters.

LA-1k

Are you talking about the HF Auto tuner? Because my LA-1K, bands can not be programmed for the two antenna ports. Antenna ports are switched manually on my LA-1K.

I am new owner. ?Using normal keying and RF sense to switch bands. ?If I have tribander for 10/15/20 m and multi and dipole fri 40/17/12 m. Sendings works on all bands but I cannot assign 12/17 m to to different antenna than 10/15m. ?I understand 10/12 m and 15/17 m share same harmonic filters, but you should be able assign different antennas for each band?
?
is this just issue with RF detect select and I have to use a band cable?
?
Thanks,
Brian?
