I have two old transceivers a Kenwood TS-830S and a Yaesu FT-101ZD that I want to use on tube nets. Do I need to use an amplifier keying Interface like the Ameritron ARB-704 if I want to use these radios with my la1k?

I would, I use the ARB-704 on any radio, cheap insurance is how I look at it.
