George Robbins #409 The 240 volt power cord from Palstar has the NEMA standard blade arrangement for a 240 volt 20 amp outlet.? The amplifier is spec'ed to draw 10 amps at 240 volts.? You should install a 240 volt 20 amp branch circuit.? That will require a 2 pole - 20 amp breaker, # 12 AWG wire - typically 12-2 with ground which usually has a yellow sheath, and a 240 volt 20 amp outlet.?? If you went to a 30 amp breaker, you would be required by the NEC to use #10 AWG wire and install a 240 volt 30 amp outlet - which would not allow you plug in the power cord from the Palstar amplifier because of a different (and larger) blade arrangement.?
