Tried to log on the the FCC Cores site and it fails. Got this back from FCC tech support: "We are currently experiencing network issues that are impacting all of our registration, payment, and filing systems. This also prevents system-generated emails (i.e. verification links and two-factor codes) from being received. We have not been provided with an estimated time for resolution. FCC "broad inquiry" and ARRL bulletin March 21, 2025
Hi all- The FCC released a "broad inquiry" about rules and regulations on March 20, and the ARRL put out a bulletin to its members in response, asking for comments. There is --utterly no reason-- to magically look for possible changes "right now", in response to this "inquiry". As with so many things being attempted right now, this one should be completely ignored to the extent possible, in my opinion. Here is my comment to the ARRL: --- -Leave Part 97 exactly as it is- in response to this junk "broad inquiry". There may be many reasons to change or improve the Part 97 rules, but this random request from the current administration is -not at all- one of them. This new "broad inquiry" should be completely ignored. --- Chris W6ATV

K6EAG 145.13 repeater status-further update 7
Hi again- I had a good long conversation with Jerry KF6VB today on the repeater, with no trouble at all. We did confirm that the audio problem is intermittent. It goes from "usable audio" to sometimes "robust audio", even in the same transmission. Not an impediment to communication at all, though. The repeater is also running at lower power while its RF power amplifier gets repaired, so you may notice differences in coverage areas. Chris W6ATV
