We were truly a multinational net tonight thanks to check-ins from Tony (VE3DWI) in Canada and Kanti (VU2GSM) from Bangalore, India. A special thanks to Stan for his work as a net control, and for logging his friend Kanti.

Congratulations to Ted (N8TJE), Mike (W3TS), Dave (N1CGP), Dean (N2TNN-our Relay Net Control who also made some calls tonight), Stan (W4AG) and Dan (KW4LQ) for making three bands tonight. Chuck (K4RGN), Bill (K8ZCT), Peter (KT4NN), George (W5GS), Mike (WM4X), Tony (VE3DWI), and Chuck (AA0RI) made two bands.

As for 20 meters, it seemed to have helped starting a half hour earlier than normal. However, the band noticeably dropped about 21 minutes after my start time on 20 meters. By 35 minutes into the 20-meter portion of the net, I was no longer able to hear myself into Pennsylvania through a WebSDR site in that state.

There will be no Ten-Tec CW Net next Monday night, Christmas Day. ?We wish you and your families a very Merry and Joyous Christmas Day. See you again on January 1^st, 2024.

Good evening,

Due to propagation issues during the winter months, I will be starting the 20-meter (20-meter only -14.063 MHz plus or minus) part of the Ten-Tec CW Net at 7 p.m. (EST), 6 p.m. (CST), 5 p.m. (MST) and 4 p.m. (PST).? This change begins tomorrow (December 18).? This is one-half hour earlier than normal.? I want to try out a 1/2 hour earlier start time on the 20-meter net to see how it works due to my experiencing problems communicating to the east of me at the normal start time.??

The change will not impact the 40/80-meter net components, only 20 meters.? The 40-meter net will still begin at 7:30 p.m. (EST), 6:30 p.m. (CST), 5:30 p.m. (MST) and 4:30 p.m. (PST) on, or about, 7.063 MHz.? The 80-meter net will then follow the 40-meter net on, or about, 3.536 MHz.??

A special thanks to Stan (W4AG) who logged most of the stations again tonight.?

Congratulations to Stan (W4AG) and George (W5GS) who made all three bands this evening. We recognize Tony (VE3DWI), Ted (N8TJE), Bill (K8ZCT), Dan (KW4LQ), Dave (N1CGP) and Mike (WM4X) who made two bands.

The 20-meter band was poor here tonight to the locations where I would normally log most of the stations regularly worked. I had no propagation to the northeastern U.S. and only limited propagation to the eastern U.S. I checked some WebSDR sites, and I was not hearing anything in the cw bands in PA, or in the District of Columbia on 20 meters. However, propagation was good for me into Georgia and California. I stayed with calling for about a half hour and only picked up two stations. If I can get off work on time next week, I am thinking of starting the 20-meter portion of the net a half hour earlier than the current time.

We appreciate the work done by NA6F (Rich), who tabulates all the information for our nets. Also, a thank you to Lloyd (N2KPC) who manages the Ten Tec Nets.

I picked up Stan (W4AG) and George (W5GS) but that was it on 20 meters.? Sorry if I missed you.? I can hear my signal well on WebSDR into Georgia and out to the west particularly northern California.? However, 20 appears to be dead into the northeastern U.S. and into the District of Columbia.? It seems really quiet in those parts of the country on 20.? ?Please join Stan (W4AG) who is currently on 40 meters at 7.063 MHz.? I will be taking 40 over shortly and Stan will be moving on to 80.??
