Field Day 2024

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

All,

Field Day 2024 was a great success. ?We had a lot of participation and setup/teardown assistance. ?I can't thank everyone enough for all the help and support you gave.

We hope to see everyone at our club in-person meeting this Wednesday at 6:30pm. ?Before the club meeting, Jeff (KJ7IRV) will be giving a talk on ferrites. ?That will begin at 6pm.
?
If you're not sure where our club meeting is, please check out our website, for the address.? We hope to see you there!
?
Here is a link to a Google album with pictures. ?I've made it so you can upload your own Field Day pictures if you want.

Overall I thought it went?well.? I was dubious about changing to the fairgrounds?but then I was the same when we were at the airport.? It turns out that the RF noise level was well within reason and I hope to be back in the same venue next year.??

In years past in Al's pre-silent Key days he would bring his Casita and Lisa would occupy?it operating on 6m.? Well this year I put together a 6m yagi, hooked it to my travel trailer pointed East and Lisa was on the air again.? She actually had 27 QSOs on 6m which for the club is an all time record.? Plus she got to enjoy operating in air conditioned?comfort.

Next year I hope to move the trailer into a location where the May-pole antenna works a bit better although we did manage a few Qs on both 80 and 40.

NOTICE:? I seem to be missing my RED foldemup chair.? Please let me know if you know where it is!
