For those of you planning on volunteering for this year's Crater Lake Rim Run event it is time to program and test your radios.? For the event the trailer will be located at the turn-around atop the cloud cap lookout.? From cloud cap the trailer repeater will cover most of the park.? So to get ready for the event please program your radios.? The trailer repeater operates on VHF at 147.32MHz with a 118.8Hz tone.? For the next two weeks until the early morning of August 14th it will be turned on and activated at it's temporary location at my QTH on Wiard Street.? Thus most anyone in the local area should be able to use it to test the programming on their radios.? Currently it has a very short squelch tail so with my cheap Baofeng I could not tell if I could hit it but it was working.? I will try to lengthen the squelch tail a bit.
