WiFi Throttle Handset

I¡¯m looking for a handheld physical throttle for use on a WiThrottle/JMRI/NCE system.

I¡¯m pretty sure I saw information on here about a sleek device with buttons down the sides and a narrow screen down the middle showing the functions allocated, but I can¡¯t find it now.
?
I¡¯d welcome any or all suggestions.
?
I¡¯m experimenting with an old iPhone at the moment, but I¡¯m not keen on touch screens for this role.
?
thanks

TCS has throttles. Google for other possibilities.

Do you mean a DIY-electronics project, or a commercial one ???

Commercially, there are TCS handsets, or the ESU handset but run different App on it (EngineDriver).?
DIY there are several designs, where the issue will be the quality of the underlying software.??

Half-way house is an Android phone (cheap one will do) with an after-market USB control knob/buttons on it, and use the very common "EngineDriver" app on the phone.? There are details on the EngineDriver (software app) website on the hardware that's known to work for this combination.??

Very little of this is JMRI related, so marginal whether it is "on topic" for the group.??

The ESU 'Mobil Control Pro' is very nice.? I had a pre-release test drive at the Springfield, MA show last winter.? Delivery is announced for 2nd quarter 2025.? My regular DCC vendor is taking back orders.

Thank you. Google wasn¡¯t very helpful: only coming up with the TCS ones which I have seen.
TCS looks good, but at ?260 (around $350) for the cheaper UWT-50 in the uk, it¡¯s just too expensive.
?
Happy to build my own, if I have to, but would rather not.

You may want to check out the ACGAM R1 gamepad. It works via bluetooth connected to a cell phone running Engine Driver.

It has been 5 years since i used them, but there are a few youtube videos on how to set them up. I am not sure if they make them anymore, but I do remember they were under $20 each. We got 3, one for each yard, and they were ok. Most people though preferred the regular throttle.?

Cheers

I built my own, just for a bit of fun really, but I like it and continued to use it. Just a few knobs off Amazon, an ESP32 and whatever you can do to put a case around it.
?
I made a video about it, here's a link.

There are several DIY controllers listed here.

The WiThrottle Protocal are what you want, not the DCC-EX Protocol ones.?
