Paragon4 (400a) Decoder Programming issues
开云体育I am trying to program an BLI engine I had upgraded to Paragon4. Sometime I program a section and it work fine and sometime I get 308 errors. Also I program one section and another section changes. Also the smoke unit works when F7 off and goes off when F7 on. I going to reload the DCC+ software but I do not believe that will help since I tried other locomotive and everything works. Any suggestions. ? Joe ? |
开云体育Joe, ? I use POM for programming all Paragon decoders.? I find them ‘problematic’ on a service mode programming track. ? Paragon 4 (and the later Paragon 3) decoders have CV217 that can be adjusted to match them to your programming track.? Here’s a ‘Hosteler’s Inn” article on the process:

I've also posted before about my own experience with CV 217 and Paragon3s. I've mentioned the values that have worked for me with various models (20-70), and that the trick on the programming track seems to be to write the new value, and then read it back to confirm. If the the new value did write, you've found your setting.
