Another Panel Editor Question

Oh no, not this guy, again?!?! I'm learnin' a lot, but still learnin'!!!
An audio question this time concerning PanelPro. Starting to enter the sounds of the relays when you press the Code Button. I noticed on one YouTube video that was demonstrating PanelPro CTC Panel, that when a signal or turnout lever was turned, it made the signal lever sound, when it was turned. I've only been able to get the turnout or signal lever sound in the Action section to play when the Code Button relay is sounding. Is there something special I need to program to get the turnout or signal lever to sound before pressing the Code Button?
?
Thank you.

Or do you mean the sequence of relay sounds sent when requesting a Switch position change? What is a "signal" sound? Do you mean to "squeek" caused by rotating a US&S "Signal" lever? Or do you mean the sequence of relay sounds sent when requesting a Signal position change? Typically, for a US&S "Time-coded" CTC, the Office machine's "coding" relays "click" when "coding" a request. OR when "something changes" at a field location. Regards, Billybob |
Doug, I use Logix to create a sound file for the action.? In this case a CTC switch Sound: Logical Expression: R1 Sensor "IS:CTC:SW" state is "Sensor Active"? (Triggers the calculation) Actions On change to true, play sound file from file, program:resources/sounds/Switch-lever.wav. On change to false, play sound file from file, program:resources/sounds/Signal-normal.wav. This gives a satisfying click when activated, and a much softer click when deactivated. Keith In Georgia. Using a bunch of Logix I had added the short sounds for the different
toggles or buttons. Just the click and clack of their movement. This was done to help the user know for sure they turned the control correctly. The relay chains were run for the code going out and the field replying when the code button was pressed IF the office end didn't detect some conflict. If it did (like a route is set so you can't change a turnout) you just heard the thunk of pressing and releasing the button. Most of that was making up for the physical parts not making much of an noise on their own being mostly plastic. -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team www.jmri.org www.fingerlakeslivesteamers.org www.cnymod.com |
