I don't see a way to do this without a schedule. Schedules are not that complicated. In the random section select 1(%). That should give you about three deliveries a year :-)

One thing, as a newbie, I'm learning, is that when learning JMRI, I run multiple sessions?over and over in minutes to see how actions work, what goes where, how cars flow etc. But in practice, if you operate the physical layout, once a month, and a car is called once every 6th time or even 12th time for an industry, that's only once or twice a calendar year. Which I think is the end goal at some level to see something only show up rarely.? And, if you have say 4 schedules for an industry, with percentages, you'll see the lower ones used less often, which is the goal, but eventually, it does get called.? Just tons of options. Curious which option works?best for you.? Mike O'Neill Parker, CO On Wed, Jan 1, 2020 at 9:41 AM <gerardh1031@...> wrote: My current thinking is to create two of the same location. I believe you are missing my point. I am running a small terminal layout and as such will from time to time receive a specialty load for a specific industry..I am not interested in establishing a schedule. I was looking for a tool that would help make it easier to accomplish this action. I will keep searching the program

Hi Jerry, You might look into creating two spur types for the same track.? You can then set one spur to accept the regular loads and the other for the specialty load.? Use track pooling to make sure the program doesn't try and force two cars into the spur at the same time.? Here's the link for track pools: Hope this helps.
