Locked Multiple Beeps when starting up system.

Good Morning

When powering up my system , DS200, I receive multiple beeps 12-18 at a times and then the?system comes up?.? The manual states that it is a software problem but will be fine.

Not comfortable with that answer does anyone have an idea what has to be done to eliminate this symptom.
