Locked Mac Catalina and error connecting to WiThrottle

Running DecoderPro V4.16 on a MacBook Pro (mid 2016 model) using Catalina 10.15 and Java 8 231. I can program locomotives with no problems. I tried the WiThrottle Lite V3.0.4 (using an iPhone 8 (running 13.1.3) and it would not connect. When I went to File and clicked on Preferences I got this message shown. Then DecoderPro quit. Any ideas how to fix so I can use the WiThrottle feature? Thanks. Fran Giacoma

Fran,

I am not able to re-create your problem. ?The security changes in Catalina are impacting certain functions within JMRI.

Did you see any other messages before the fatal one?

Dave,

No other messages before the fatal one. Actually, what happens (just tried it connected to layout Digitrax DCS100 via LocoBuffer USB Rev n)
1) click on DecoderPro icon on Dock
2) opens to locomotive roster screen. No problem programming any engine - works as it always has
3) Click on DecoderPro in Toolbar. Pulldown menu appears
4) Click on Preferences and fatal message appears. It appears if I click on any item on that pulldown menu. Have to "Force Quit" to get out of DecoderPro. This does not happen when I click on any other item (Loconet, Actions, Settings, etc) in the Toolbar; they all work as intended
Thanks for the help.

Could you try this installer please:

It needs to have the JMRI folder dragged to the Applications folder; moving the JMRI folder to Desktop, Documents or Downloads doesn¡¯t work yet.

For more on the effort to find a solution to this, see:

Bob,
Here is what I just did:
1) downloaded installer via the Google drive and installed the JMRI as directed
2) clicked on DecoderPro, PanelPro, and SoundPro - none of them opened
3) reinstalled V4.16. DecoderPro opened normally and every pulldown menu works except any choice under "DecoderPro". Once I click on any of those, the same fatal error message pops up and I have to "Force Quit" to get out of DecoderPro

I am OK for now as I do not have to change any settings and very rarely use WiThrottle. I'll monitor any changes and let me know if you want me to try anything else.

Thanks loads to you guys for working on this.
