Locked PanelPro turn on DCC power

Martin Peake

Hi there,

I'm aware this may be a simple question.

I am using DCC++ with an Arduino Mega. When I start PanelPro, I have to manually turn on track power by going to the DCC++ menu and selecting?Send DCC++ Command. I then have to type <1> and click on the Send Packet button.?

Can I automate this?

Regards,

Martin

Make sure the configuration for power control isn¡¯t set to Internal. ?That was my issue.?

Thanks Bob.

The power does turn on when I select it through the menu. I'm looking for that to happen automatically.

Ah whoops. ?Didn¡¯t read carefully enough I guess. ?I blame lack of coffee this early. ??

I¡¯m sure you can do that. ?I know people have headless installs for JMRI. ?Maybe rummage in the scripts directory. ??

There¡¯s a jython/PowerOn.py script that you can set to run via the Startup panel of the Preferences.

Thanks Bob. I tried using the script, but it doesn't work. Nor does the little track power window.

the only thing that seems to work is actually typing in <0> or <1>.

Sorted...

I needed to turn on DCC++ power in preferences.
