Locked Zephyr

More on the DCS50. I finally hooked up a Lenz LE104XF and the DCS50
read the address. So downstairs and hook up to DecoderPro. It did read the
basic, after many hits, so right now it's trying to read the entire decoder.
Another call to Digitrax this morning and no answers but IMHO this is the
problem. They have the current so limited (at least on mine it is) that
there is no return pulse from the decoder. That means much of the time even
the DCS50 can't see the pulses. DecoderPro is outstanding for this type of
testing as it keeps trying to read the decoder. Sooner or later, on some
decoders, it get a pulse/s back and then continues to try and read.
It's possible they tested at the high end of a current limiting resistor
and I have a unit with a resistor at the low end. I think this as some
people have reported no problems.
Digitrax still doesn't was me to send the unit in as the tech hasn't
been able to talk to AJ about this!

PS DecoderPro is still banging away at the Lenz LE104XF. The speed
control pane looks interesting as it's mostly red with white stripes here
and there as DecoderPro finally gets a reading.

*I'm going to cross post this to the Digitrax list!

Can any of this group that have a Zephyr test the feedback for me. Mine
basically doesn't work. Several calls to Digitrax and their line is I'm the
only one that's unhappy, they have heard nothing about this problem. Also
the line these are only designed for Digitrax products appeared when I
mention the other decoders I am using. Has Digitrax gone this far off the
edge?
However in private conversation with a member of the Digitrax list I
received this;

"So really what you are saying is your DecoderPro is not receiving feedback
when
reading decoder values? I get ZERO feedback to my DT300 when I use that for
programming."

Interesting!
