No Path Between Signal and Bumper Signal #sml #layouteditor

I hope this is a quick one for somebody ....
At turnout LT69, the closed path SML works fine.
The thrown path SML edit says no path between LM69L signal and LM296 (bumper).
Each turnout and track segment after LT69 to and including LT81 are block BM-TRK2.
After LT81, track segments to LM296 are block BM-TRK4.
?
?
I deleted paths, saved, then restarted PanelPro but still a path is not found.
Next steps?

Ken,

Make sure there are no issues using LE Tools -> Check.

Use "View Block Routing" to see what the neighbors look like. ?I would start with the LT69 block. ?The neighbor should be BM-TRK2 with BM-TRK4 as the next hop.

Newly added BM-TRK4 was not completely built (no length or detection).
I fixed that and generated sections.
Validate sections:

View blocks:
Neighboring blocks and hops directly connected, but something's missing on valid path.
I did remove paths, saved, and restarted.

Ken,

I am guessing that the block to the right of LT69 should be the entry point for the section. ?Is that BM-TRK1?

It would be easier to diagnose the issue if you were to upload the xml file.

Ken,

The "My Layout" panel has a number of Non-contiguous blocks as reported by LE Tools -> Check. ?You can ignore the errors for yard trackage. ?I prefer to assign blocks to all trackage.

LT79 has block BB-TRK2 instead of BM-TRK2.

LM298 has issues on both panels. ?Somehow you managed to attach signal masts to an anchor point that is not a block boundary. ?The signal masts need to be removed in both cases. ?Then you can create a unique dummy block between the anchor point and LT70. ?Now you can re-attached the signal masts.

After fixing the block assignments, you will need to re-build paths. ?Then you can create new SML from LM69L. ?After you have new SML you can refresh the SML based sections.

I have not looked at the other block errors.

Thanks Dave,
I think the big one is LT79, but I'll look at all the errors.
One of my other yards were assigned blocks a long time ago and I gave up on that ... revisit.
That signal on the anchor really should be at the turnout LT70 ... I'll fix that.
?
Thanks!

Well Dave,
A new set of sage eyes really helps.
After checking and rechecking all those blocks in that signal segment, I never saw "BB" instead of "BM".
Fixed that!
?
I moved the signal LM298 to the turnout LT70.
Don't ask me how I managed to site the signal on other than a block boundary, I couldn't repeat it.
?
At your suggestion, I blocked each undetected yard track in each yard.
Each yard one big block.
That solved a couple "no entry point" errors where yard tracks enter detected territory.
?
I need a "handy hints" note book.
Or, "Dave's Recipe for Success" book.
Thanks.

I fiddled a little more ....
That anchor was originally a bumper with a stop signal.
I changed it to an anchor when I added a turnout without a block assignment.

Ken,

I suspected that the anchor point had been an end bumper. ?Thanks for the confirmation.
