Draw Simple Line in Control Panel Editor

Followup on original post #229916.
?
I can use the polygon tool to create a simple line in CPE but it is cumbersome. One of the lines I created was fairly long and then I couldn't select it to edit once it was on the panel. Is it feasible to add a new function to the shapes menu for drawing a simple straight line that can be edited by dragging the endpoints? Also, the web server does not recognize the polygon shape. I can create an issue for that but honestly Im not sure it's worth it because of how cumbersome it is to use the polygon function to create lines. My use case is creating a block diagram of my control system components. I use Autocad but I figure why not just do it right in CPE, I just need the line function to cooperate.

Just checked this out on my panel in CPE. I drew a line. I later select it which then showed the mid and end points. I could click on an endpoint and drag it to change the length.

Ok well that's promising. Not sure why this is the 2nd time I'm having an issue with this but I'll try it again. Thanks Nags.

I do wish CPE provided grid lines!

... after experimenting, I found that the anomaly of not being able to select the line occurs after the line is rotated. I went into the XML and deleted all the lines (polygons) with degrees="##" and instead of copy/paste/rotate I just drew new lines with the desired orientation. Something weird happens (bug?) when the line is rotated. I wound up with a nice panel showing my control system block diagram (attached). I will create an issue on github so that the line (polygon) shows on the web server. Thanks again.
